Hello, Thank you for these uploads. At 29.05 there is a shot from 'Fires were started' by Humphrey Jennings (1941) Well worth finding..as it shows what had to be done when the mains were cut, AND it was low tide on the river so no fire boat access. Cordialement,

Re-metaling bearings used to be carried out by the/a shipyard Tinsmith.

Really? you get a engine out of the boat, get it in parts , but cant start it because of stuck valves?? so not a rebuild, but only a bearing chainge??? strange story..

Hi Like you I just cannot understand Why they didn't do the job properly,what about the injectors, the fuel pumps,oil pump the list goes on and is this the same engine that is giving problems now ??? it all seems a bit airy fairy to me.

So easy to sit behind a keyboard and criticise ... funny, I did not notice you in any of the video's repairing the engine. A lot goes on behind the scenes that is not on film ..
