Halloween 2018 is my favorite, it showed how strong Laurie has become of the years and how that fateful night in 1978 turned her into a paranoid grandmother. I love H2 as well, but I love H2018 a teeny bit.

Halloween 2018 is by far the better sequel. It gives more depth to Laurie and what PTSD can do to a person. Michael was stripped of all his humanity which made the killings that much scarier. The comedy also balanced the movie out so that it was just great. 9/10 for me.

The 2018 mask is probably the best looking since the first. Some of the others look horrible seeing them head on and up close in bright lighting like this, but I didn't notice the differences whenever I watched the movies. I guess I just never payed enough attention.

1:05 I prefer the storyline of part 2, but I like 2018 better. The story is nice, the kills were decent, Kills was the best one from the Trilogy, and Michael's look actually fallows continuity unlike part 2. What I like about both: Part 2: Related to Lourie, Started the THORN timeline. (I love the THORN timeline, Curse of Michael Myers is so underrated) 2018: Actually looks like an older version of the 78 mask, He has a dead eye from getting stabbed in the eye with a clothes hanger, Removed any back story. (I still wish he was Lourie's brother because I feel like it would make sense and explain the connection they have) What I don't Like about both: Part 2: Wider Mask, Robotic Movements, His eye is somehow back to normal. 2018: Not Related to Lourie.

I agree! Dick Warlock’s Michael is the best of the franchise and that’s the reason I would give a slight edge to 1981’s Halloween 2 over the 2018 film. Warlock brought such an eerie patience to MIchael that no other actor has been able to match. It was almost robotic and I loved it. Gotta get me that H2 mask.

I did enjoy rob zombie’s take on Halloween. However, I think that the original Halloween II from 1981 is the better sequel. The original Halloween 1978 scared the hell out of me when I was younger. The 1981 sequel has the same feel as the original movie. It feels like it is Halloween night, and it actually blends into the original movie quite well. It literally feels like a continuation of the same night. The suspense is unbearable and very tense. I was on the edge of my seat the whole entire time. Especially during the claustrophobic scenes when Michael gets so close to Laurie and she escapes out of a window, and then again when she escapes in the elevator. Very suspenseful. There are also a lot of jump scares in this movie. There is a little more blood than the original movie but it’s nothing grotesque. It’s just a very good scary movie, and the hospital setting is scary enough by itself. I think it’s an overall great sequel despite what others have said about it. I love the Rob Zombie films too. I think they are great. Rob Zombies Halloween 2 is just a complete different take than the original, but overall the original Halloween 2 is the better sequel in my eyes.

Halloween II (1981) The best sequel and concludes the story without any sentimentality whatsoever. Halloween 2018 was very disappointing, it had the look and feel of a horror film like Scream, I know What You Did Last Summer and Urban Legend. The stupid plot involving the doctor nearly ruined the film for me and I felt it was rehashing 'The Curse Of Thorn' crap from Halloween 5 and 6. The opening title sequence was a parody of the 1978 original with an inflatable pumpkin which just made me laugh. Whats frustrating is that many fans are just automatically being subservient to the makers and going 'Fuck Halloween II! This is the NEW version!' The positives were like you state, they got Michael Myers right. Credit where credits due. The music was okay, John Carpenter has done far better in other scores. It was ok. Better than H5,6,H20 and the RZ crap. Even if it had been terrific, I would still prefer the 1981 sequel.

I found the most awesome Micheal Myers mask back in 05 at a Walgreens of all places. Bought it as a collectors item and never planned to wear it. My nephew saw it, borrowed it for Halloween, and let the dog chew it to shreds. It only cost me like $20 bucks but I had to get it based on how authentic it looked. Impressive collection! I love the life size H2!

I'm so confused about why people hate Halloween 5? I feel like people hate it just to hate it. His mask is ugly but it's also terrifying. The suspense at his house at the end is scary especially when it's your first time watching it. The chase scene with Tina is new but than again Michael doesn't give a crap. The whole mute thing was annoying, it should have taken place at a new home but whatever. Overall, I enjoyed it though
