I really love how the ending melody captures the tragic nature of the Necropolis. It makes you feel as though the death knights and necromancers used to be true heroes before becoming undead.

As a kid playing HoMM 3, my favourite town was always Necropolis. I had that vibe maybe once, after that I just watched my army rise as I grinned and my brother and cousin were concerned about facing off against me

Fun fact thats kind of Vidomina’s story, she was a young and aspiring wizard. She was little bit of a bookworm but talented and innocent. She stumbled upon an ancient book during her studies and after reading it the book turned her into a necromancer. She was expelled and exiled for it.
