The funds are the investments. The Stocks and Shares ISA is the account that the investments are held in. Make sense?

Hi, from what I understand the best idea, is to put some money in the investment ISA, use that money to invest in other funds. then may profit made is not taxable, and fewer fees to pay?

Thank you for explaining the various types of funds. It certainly clarified those US terms e.g ROTH IRA vs SIPP and ISA's etc. In terms of legally appointing beneficiaries, where do we find documentations for that? How would someone inherit what's left of one's portfolio in the event of the inevitable 🤔. Most vloggers explain investment terms however, I'm yet to find that information. Could you shed some light on that - if possible?

Hi Ken, sorry to go off topic but have you done any videos on Lifetime ISAs? I have just opened a HL stocks and shares LISA and I'm using this as part of my retirement strategy (basic rate tax payer). Hello. I have dual citizenship UK and US living in the uk, can I invest with vanguard? Are there any companies that allow US citizens living in the UK to invest?
@TheHumblePenny3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sunila, unfortunately, US citizens aren't allowed to invest in the UK as far as we're aware. We'd suggest calling a handful of the large investment companies and asking them as you're also a UK citizen.

Thank you. I will give this a try. The US is very unfair. I should be able to have the same freedom here in the UK especially as they are two independent countries. But thank you very much

I'm new to this so I'm a little confused as to what the percentages mean. For instance if the cost of the equity/bond is £100, and the charge is 0.22% , does that mean you will be charged £22 annually to hold the shares or is it a once only charge ? Great video regardless !
@TheHumblePenny3 жыл бұрын
Hiya, thank you! I hear you on the confusion over the percentages :). Yes, those are the annual fees. For the example you gave for £100, 0.22% of that will be 22 pence not £22. i.e. (0.22/100) x £100 = 22p

Hi Ken, keep it up with the videos. They've been helpful. I do have some questions about vanguard funds. 1. Is it better to lump in a sum or to do monthly? 2. With the monthly additions, can you decide not to invest in some months afer you have chosen to do monthly investments. Do you just remove that option in the months you don't want to invest? 3. Could you help with how to reinvest in some funds from the ones you have? I do hope you can answer these questions as they have been confusing to me
@TheHumblePenny3 жыл бұрын
Much appreciated, Dimma :) #1 - Monthly. #2 - Yes. You simply login and tweak your monthly payments to cancel or change it to start another month. #3 - Not sure I get this question. Please elaborate :)

Thank you for the reply. Like funds that are written accumulation eg in vanguard, do you just leave it for them to reinvest or do you have to actively be reinvesting yourself?
