IMO the call ranges stated in the game aren't correct as I've called animals from as far as 300+ yds when the caller was only meant to reach 160yds or 200yds. I've found that It mostly works at those distances in large open areas.

Yes. Calling has a % of a chance to work, so if you use the call say 5 times in a row good chance it hits that percentage.

Do fallow deers have any other callers? Rattler doesn't seem to work.

Nope sorry. Remember there is only a percentage that a caller will work. So sometimes using a lower percentage caller multiple times will trgger a reaction, and sometimes higher lvl animals, because they are more "difficult" to hunt, won't respond at all. Hope this helps.

You have to hunt Fallow Deers at either dawn or dusk so if you have the patience or happen to be at the outpost nearest to your hunting area, you best set your timer to like 3 or 4 in the morning BEFORE sunrise when you get to your hunting spot.

If your one a tripod how long will it take for an animal to come?

Depends on the need zone time, sometimes it's best to walk away and come back slowly, also watch the wind.

The caller that draws in predators, it's been showing as locked for me. It says to unlock it, I need to reach a certain level - which is the level I'm already at. Then every time I level up, the requirement level increases at the same time. Effectively, I'm never able to unlock it. Am I misunderstanding something, or is this a bug?

Go to the codex and select hunter profile. It will show you what you current lvl is and how much XP till the next lvl. There are different types of XP needed to unlock different things. For example to unlock a certain weapon you need to use that weapon group to gain that weapons XP. For general things like callers you just need to lvl up.

As you gain XP and LVL up different callers become available. Some can simply be purchased in the store where you buy you guns and ammo

Not yet. If you're talking about the biggest one, the render bug, it's still there. A new patch should be out in a couple of weeks.

@@nerrad67able well there hasn't been an update since the dog DLC, I think there may have been a hot fix??? But I'm not 100% sure. I haven't had too many issues playing it. But I haven't been using the dog to much over the past month or so either.

Yea a year later and they must have ruined callers. Been in a stand for some time now and the callers dont work at all. Or they just took all the animals out of the game becausw that honestly seems like the case
