For everyone asking yes these are almost the same bear as the coastal ones in Alaska. Big males being 10ft and 1500ish lbs. A coastal brown bear is a coastal brown bear being Russian doesn't make it bigger lol if anything being Alaskan does...

Actually the Kamchatka bears are roughly 15% bigger. Their genetics are slightly different from the coastal brown bears. Just like the Kodiak bears are different with larger skulls.

The giant Alaskan Kodiaks are the biggest brown bears in the world. Some can reach 1700 lbs. Russian brown bears can reach 1500 lbs. I wouldn't want to meet either in the wild!!

Both 'Alaskan peninsula brown bear/coastal grizzly bear of katmai' are grizzlies, btw.
