I am loving @Northlawnflowerfarm 's weekly walk about and am soooo happy to see you doing the same. I've decided to take up this habit in my own garden. Love the idea of a time not to plan, work, or agonize lol over the garden, but just to observe and appreciate the movement of nature. Sometimes we gardners forget this.

This is not a boring video, this is a video showing your garden waking up from winter like so many of us have! We can relate to this as not everybody has a perfect garden or staff to clean it up. I like the idea of a "firebowl" water planter, I like how the copper ages and think the size would be more substantial than a pot yet still manageable. I think many can agree we just enjoy your personality and wit and will watch what you post. If this type makes it a little more enjoyable for you than do it so you don't get that dreaded feeling of "I've got to edit and post a video", takes the fun out of it for you.

Erin, I really enjoyed this unedited garden stroll. You are keeping it real, and it's great to watch the progression of your garden throughout the season. Thanks for asking for our input. because I love this type of content. Sometimes an occasional cuss word is necessary to describe an invasive plant/weed (like the variegated Bishops Weed), after years of trying to eradicate it from one garden bed (which is surrounded by concrete on all sides), I solarized the area for an entire year, and that killed the roots. It's been gone for over 20 years now. YAY! I also enjoy watching Northlawn Flower Farm, Danielle has a graceful way of showing us her garden rooms, weeds, and all.

I love walk and talk videos in the garden. Very realistic for all of us gardeners. I think most of us watch gardening videos for th inspiration and real life issues in the garden so this is great. Weed and wine is great too and we'll, most anything you post. Keep it up and do what is best in your schedule. We are here for it all!

I like seeing you talk about which plant varieties work well for you and which don’t. What weeds or invasive plants you are dealing with. What you would plant more of and what you would not. This is a good format for that info as well as showing what things look like in different growth stages. Those things you can’t tell from looking at plant tags. Thank you! Your bulbs are so pretty and the new hanging baskets will be fun to see.

This was fantastic and inspiring ... And...we need more frequent reminders that there is often the bad and the ugly woven in to the good and the beautiful. Take the Red Admiral butterfly... its host plant is stinging nettle. Without the plant many of us view with a wary eye, we wouldn't have the drifts of these beautiful insects. There have been clouds of both Red Admirals and Painted Ladies all week! What a joy to see them in your garden as part of the tour. Please continue with anything you care to share without the worry of editing.

Absolutely show us! We (I) love the videos and the interaction. Please let us know we are not alone in reality 😂. I do enjoy others videos but the extreme "tidiness" can get overwhelming and make us smaller gardeners feel less than. Your videos and Danielle, as you mentioned, (Cranery Garden, Common farm, Crowley House, Phaedra Gardeness too), inspire us to do what feels right and we may not always get it 💯, but keep on and it is Ok. Thank you! We are all in this together to make it a beautiful place. No judgement.

I loved the “walk around the garden “ video. Nice to know all gardens in early spring are not much to look at. My gardens look the same every spring and so barren. Then as it warms a bit you can see all the perennials turning green. I always think “oh I need more plants!” If I check my pics from last summer there was hardly any bare space!! It’s a miracle !! Do I still buy more plants? Heck yes 🤪

I certainly enjoyed this video. One of the great pleasures of late winter and early spring is walking around the garden to see what is coming up or starting to bloom. Zone 7a Hudson Valley here so we are into the tulip phase. After seeing them in your garden, I ordered some marsh marigolds for the swampy area of my property. I am glad your friend is promoting primulas. I had planted candelabra primroses along the stream at the bottom of our ravine but those were wiped out by the great West Point flood of July 2023 (along with our two bridges). I am trying again because those are just magical and, if happy, should spread.

I loved this format. You gushing over the flowers on your septic field made me chuckle. My husband and I planted 300 bulbs in my front lawn, a mix of Tete a tete daffodils, Jetfire daffodils and Chionodoxa in Fall 2022 in 3 somewhat irregular formations. We loved them so much when they bloomed last spring that we added another 200 bulbs last Fall. We have been so proud of our display this year, but a couple of people have stopped by and asked us what's wrong with our lawn 😂. This is the first time this has happened to me. Till now people have always stopped by to admire my gardens.

I liked the unedited, walk about video, I hope you’ll keep doing it. The feeling of walking around the garden with a friend is fun. PS If you are going to let the stinging nettle stay at least dead heading it might be a good idea. Each stalk is capable of (and will) produce 1,000s of seeds and you will have nearly 100% germination. Go ahead, ask me how I know, lol. If you decide to keep it, good luck, I’ll be praying for you sister!

YES! I loved this. Every year during winter my back garden looks SO bad I think, “ Oh my goodness, THIS time my garden is so bad it’s NOT going to bounce back”. Then spring comes and it does. I live in San Jose 9b and we have many evergreen plants so it’s not like in colder climates where most things are dormant and look bleak. I know how beautiful your property is so seeing the natural way of things is very helpful! Thanks Erin! (I love Northlawn Flower Farm with Danielle as well 😍🥰).

I've left a lot of our leaves so it's encouraging to hear an experienced gardener doing the same. I love the wild things on your property. My sister and I were out yesterday in our local state park looking for wildflowers. VA Bluebells, Dutchman's Breeches, Trout Lily, Trillium... It was a rich day! We came back home and the Trillium and Jack in the Pulpit we planted a couple of years ago are starting to take off. So exciting!
