Nice video. I went to these photo boxes a few years back. I trialed the 4x6 size like you used. They were ok for most seed packets but if you are like me using seed packets from Europe they are a lot larger. I have switched to the 5x7 boxes. They hold those larger packets and you can fit the US packets side by side and get a lot more packets in the space. Check them out. SOW on!

This is a marvelous idea, and I have ordered a case from Amazon. Will order more to sort generations of photos my parents always kept in boxes. As for the sticker … No smokers in my house, but I always keep a little can of lighter fluid on hand -- it's what my mother used to use to remove gum from my hair. It's better for sticker removal -- and less expensive -- than Goof-Off or any other commercial product, and leaves no greasy residue after your sticker comes off. I also use it as a dry-cleaning solvent when we get any kind of grease on our clothes.

STICKERS THAT DON'T COME OFF...So annoying, I started using those same photo storage containers last year after using those wonderful "Seedsaver" boxes. The big reason I changed to this current system was package sizes are often too big and I hated folding them over all the time. It wasted space and made going through the seeds more difficult than it needed to be...that and the smaller boxes didn't offer enough volume for my voluptuous and every expanding seed collection. So that label...If the hair dryer doesn't remove the glue, use rubbing alcohol or an oil of some kind that can be washed off. P-touch machines...so handy. I'd not tried mine for tags...I think I need to this year. My handwriting is abysmal sometimes and especially on small tags. BTW...I love your cat trying to help out...haha. Great video.

Hoards seeds? Oh, but it's not hoarding if you are planting them and growing things! It's more like investing in the future...and saving on groceries if you can eat what you grow. And giving your future self flowers that would have cost hundreds of dollars at a florist. And if you would regularly shop at a garden nursery, you're saving big time because you're spending just pennies per seed instead of dollars for the young plants.

For zinnias, I use two plates and a wet paper towel. I put the wet paper towel with the seeds in between the two plates. I wait two days and then plant in individual cells. Almost 100% germination rate every time. However, zinnias like tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers have an optimum time. They like it warm to grow robustly. We had such strange spring weather that seedlings started early languish on. Now everything is growing like weeds.

Very cool to see other people have come up with the idea of using these photo storage boxes for seed packet storage... I had the idea to do this a couple years ago and purchased two of them for this purpose and they're now packed full of various seeds. I'm considering buying another one for all the new seed purchases this year - curse you Baker Creek on your great selection and free shipping on seeds! Green beans... I like the French Filet-type too. I've grown Slenderette for several years now and they work really well for fresh eating and canning. My wife and I added Velour filet-type green beans to our garden a couple years ago (they're actually purple colored before cooking) and found that the purple color of the beans makes them easier to find/pick on the bush, contrasted against all that green foliage. BTW - I'm a recent subscriber and love your channel! I came for the Dahlias and stayed for everything!
