Thank you for introducing me to this piano composition by Franz Schubert and for your introductory analysis: having now heard the piece, I can understand more fully why you find Schubert's music so attractive and timeless (because I would guess, as with many others less acquainted with his music, it is his magnificent Symphony 8 that I do know and find particularly resonating). What a tragedy that he died so early at just 31, but thank goodness he was remarkably prolific, leaving a vast oeuvre of over 1,500 works in his short career. You have inspired me to listen to more of his genius, especially his piano compositions.
