In a shark cage against a large shark or sea creature that wants to eat you with no way out is about the beat way to forever instill such a fear in someone. I like that they added in the infamous "shark roar" from Jaws 4. Nice little touch. Also, Dominic kinda had a point. Zane seems to be an oblivious idiot who blatantly disrespects the treasures he finds, as well as the sacrifices his own brother made to get them. Should be an ending where the sharks get them both.
@obsidianfrost95142 жыл бұрын
Dominick never mentioned it. He held all the issues in it seems this is the first time zane even knew how disgruntled he was. Dominick didn't communicate. As for the treasure "he disrespects" it's stated at the start that it's from his first ever find. And from Dominick saying it was a gig that got him paid, it's safe to assume they sold most of what they found, but the stuff from the first find was kept for sentimental reasons. Tldr Dominick was bitter his brother was happy, he followed he was unhappy the entire time and never communicated because he was getting paid good and then boom he exploded when he found out he had cancer
@Mister_K-J2 жыл бұрын
@@obsidianfrost9514 Fair enough, but there are some things you shouldn't have to communicate of someone who claims to care about you is actually paying attention to you. Like missing digits, mysterious illnesses, literal gunshot wounds, etc. Now maybe Dominick acted like he was fine with it at the time, but Zane reacts to it like it's the first time he's hearing it. Yes, we're only getting Dom's side of the story, but Zane's completely lack of denial or any kind of defense beyond "I though you were happy" says a lot. Or maybe it's just bad writing. It's usually bad writing.

The game was nicely scary. It really brings the fear of the ocean to light. Concerning the characters, on the other hand. Dominic brought his death upon himself. He got what was coming to him. Though, you can’t really blame him for how miserable he feels. Forced to join his older brother on a life of adventure because he wouldn’t stop begging him. At first, it was fun, but repeatedly getting injured until finally being afflicted with a disease that gave him cancer. I would be angry to. However, Dominic was going too far with trying to kill his brother. He got what he deserved, but it’s kind of sad. I could’ve just angrily told Zane he was done adventuring with him and that’d be that. Apparently, Zane may not have been a good brother, if not a selfish one. To be honest I expected the Surfshark sponsorship so much I thought the sharkfin IGP saw was the intro to the sponsorship. Ive inly seen one other person play this game so far but I dont think they saw the fin so yeah. Expected sponsorship

For some reason, the part at 1:09 reminds me of when a character in a musical show is about to sing (the upbeat tune paired with the dialogue kinda gives me that vibe🤷)

Thought about it and decided on a compromising situation. Aim low. Blow out Dominic’s legs from under him. The restrain him and bandage the wounds. Reduce the threat and don’t kill him. Turn him in to the police. For added insurance, if he rants and raves some more on the ride home, record it with the phone without saying you are. Help back your story for the police.

Fun fact: If you were in the shark cage and it descended to the bottom of the ocean, you'd have to do compression stops on your way up so that the oxygen in your lungs doesnt expand too quickly and kill you. If you were on the wrong mix of gases you'll also be under Nitrogen Narcosis which is supposedly similar to being drunk. The decompression time IIRC is 1:1 [Although I'm not a diver so someone correct me on this], so every 5 minutes you spend at depth is 5 minutes of decompression time. Triple bonus points for the fact that the diver in this game was knocked unconscious at the bottom of the ocean so likely reflexively breathed, using up his gas. Since it looks like they were going to do a wreck dive, it was probably tri-mix so he will experience the effects of nitrogen narcosis less. However, divers typically follow a 1/3rd rule. Once 1/3rd of your gas is empty, you return, so that you know that you have 1/3rd available for the return trip, and 1/3rd in case anything goes wrong.

I have major thalassophobia and it was weird how similar our fear is of imagining being plopped into the ocean. I had a recurring dream years ago of waking up on my bed in the middle of the open ocean with a huge fin showing up every now and then. I love sharks, but from a distance. Btw I love that they used the Jaws The Revenge roar 😂😂

IGP, if you ever did get stuck in the ocean, make sure you're not wearing bright, high-contrast colors, or anything shiny/metallic. Sharks tend to be more attracted to those things.

I am legitimately terrified of sharks because of a childhood trauma, so it is extremely hard to watch this as entertaining as it is I find myself not looking at the screen when I'm expecting the shark jump scares LOL . I feel your pain.
@rereese7 Жыл бұрын
I have this fear as well. Even in games, I can't handle oceans, lakes, etc. I freak out when I get in any body of water that's not a pool. And when I even barely think about something being in the water, I get major anxiety. I understand your pain, bro

Odd dialouge aside, the trope subversion of the comedic sidekick is one of my favorites. Dominic had every reason to despise Zane, but in the end really couldn't totally blame his brother. He made the decision to go with Zane

I was terrified when u told us about your fear, that was enough for me. I have thalassophobia, and watch videos of Subnautica and other SEA games, so I can confront my fear. But so far this game made me f**king shit my pants, just when Xane is going down my phobia strikes and strikes hard hahahahahhaha

I will literally not swim in water that I can't see the bottom of dude. So trust me when I say I get it. You were actually the one that inspired me to buy Subnautica.........which hasn't been the best value in spending for me because i ALWAYS starve to death because I panic when it tries to make me swim at night. Yeah the fear is REAL to me....real life or video game it seems.
