I believe the spelling in some of the notes is more “ye olde English” than misspellings. You can break down the junk that’s washed up on shore as well. If you swim down to the shipwrecks there are items & treasure. You can also put things on the raft & there are storage containers. Happy surviving!

@whitmerule27534 ай бұрын
It's obviously intended as 'ye olde' but it's badly executed, and there are also just some mis-spellings in general throughout. I hope they do engage a proofreader, and one who can handle editing vocab and spelling to fit the period for each note! (incidentallyhelloIcandothat) I suppose most people wouldn't notice the mis-placed extra 'e's, but shifting dialect and vocab appropriate to the period in which the notes are meant to be written would definitely give some fun depth and colour!

Devs a couple things for you if you’re actively taking on feedback. The sky box looks incredible, to be fair this is a very visually pleasing game but to make it feel more immersive you should create an animation for starting the fire in the drum, having to tap a button is cool but an animation of banging rocks together and creating a spark or a wood drill would make it so much better. Climbing the ladders, you should make the characters weapon disappear, climbing a ladder with your hands still holding a weapon cutting through the ladder doesn’t look/feel good but overall this game looks awesome 👌

It just means that they acknowledge what is good or someone else's idea is great and they wanna expand on it to make another great game. Just enjoy this for having those ideas from other great games and hopefully they improved on the spots those games fell short to make this a banger! This game has done a fantastic job of feeling real. The one minor aspect which pulls me out is the yucca rope wheel. It feels out of place. Wheels are incredibly intensive to make when considering the crude tools available to a castaway. Not impossible, but definitely not early days more like for when you’re basically at a productive settlement level. Realistically, to make rope as a castaway, you’d need to twist the fibres by hand into a rough thread, then layer it and twist again. Perhaps you might create a handle of sorts to twist the thread into twine more easily, though. Again, this is my one critique of the game (considering its early access status). It’s a fantastic game, and the fact that it is this early days and has so much to it already places it far above my usual games (Not that the Sims sets a very high bar). But, while this game is no Baldur’s Gate, it really feels like the game has the same amount of love and care behind it.

Yeah it is a bit absurd. Fasting is a thing. Humans can go quite a while without food. Water’s a different story obviously.

Why would you nose dive a float plane? It's a float plane. It's a boat.... strike 1.
@PaulSimonMcCarthy-fu6ms4 ай бұрын
Unless you have been in a boat plane before, you dontbunderstand the ocmverpowering urge to nosedive.
@80aj4 ай бұрын
@@PaulSimonMcCarthy-fu6ms Well, I'm fully aware how float planes work. Have over 500 hrs in them. And now, you don't have the over powering urge to nosedive anything in real life.

Maybe the wings deflectors got stuck into down position? I recon I immediately thought "wth brother, pull the controls!!" lol
@80aj4 ай бұрын
@@bv.hd883 I mean IDK. I am one of those people that spots mess ups in movies. If you're in a float plane, it's a pontoon with wings! Every float plane carries this cool thing, it's called A PADDLE. And you can some what paddle to a dock or dry land. So idk. Shark infested waters, I'm landing in the water and staying dry. But, it's not my game so.

We need more of this, we demand a mini series! also jumping off the raft at the end to check out the boat was terrifying

the crash scene hurts me.... a lot... 1st the pilot does not atempt any sort of recovery what so ever. no pulling up, no restarting engine.. nothing. 2nd its a float plane and its floats are still on it and dont look to be severly damaged. despite this fact the floats are still way deep under water. makes no sens. if the plane went upside down and the floats would, well, float on the surface with the plane hanging from it it would make way more sens. or if the floats just snapped off from the impact. i hope the devs see this comment somehow, maybe... and may change the crash scene a bit.

The music sounds like a certain background theme in RDR 2, that plays after you wipe out one of those random gang camps in the open world (the Raider or O’Driscoll camps, with 4 or 5 guys). Not the music when you are in combat, but when the smoke clears, so to speak. I just got done playing RDR 2, so it’s still fresh in my mind. It’s extremely similar.
