Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

While your lake is down is a good time to build any docks boat house or dive platforms . Put some concrete anchors down to float a platform. Measure your depths and mark it.

I just looked up wild animals in Portugal. I read this: "Others believe the Iberian wolf is the national symbol. The isolation of Portugal’s Iberian Peninsula has caused this wolf to develop differently from many wolves globally. This animal that lives mainly in the country’s northern part has dark marks on its tail and upper part of its front legs. It also has a white mask around its upper lip." Looking forward to seeing what your trail cams spot! Apparently there are wild boar, ibex, deer, squirrels, and lots of other wildlife! Enjoy your gorgeous Miracle Mountain! 💙

💕Wolves & lynx are the reason the chickens were kept ON THE ISLAND & they had an electric fence around the lake as wolves can & will swim to get to an easy meal💕

It is so good to hear Bee on the videos. It is fun to have game cameras around the property. We have 4 cameras to see what’s on our property. We have deer, bear raccoon, fox, coyotes, wolves, pine Martin and twice this year we had a cougar, that was a surprise as Wisconsin USA doesn’t have very many cougars. Have fun with the cameras.

The lake will be so beautiful when you get it filled. Surely it will take months? Does it need the water system at the spring to be fixed first so that you can direct rainfall off the hillside and down the channel into the lake? What a job! You need to fabricate a hitch for that chipper, towing it behind the tractor or the four wheeler. Chipping into the four wheeler would be a great time saver. Good luck with all your upcoming endeavors.

Hi again: Loved this chapter...you will make progress, and as soon as you can move into the wonderful "Big House" it will go even faster...good to see Bea getting back into action! You mentioned wolves..they are top of the food chain, and are making a comeback all over Europe, especially Portugal, southern France, and here in Italy. Halloween night we were awakened by howling, around 3 AM...I thought right away that it was somebody joking around...we live up here on Monte Casellaccio outside of Lucca, in the hills between Pisa and Lucca..but it was the resident male wolf, letting us know he's here, serious about staying, and ready to keep his territory. He has a girl friend, and we can only hope they start a family and thrive. Please take good care of yourself...we are anxious to see the next video, especially what you capture on the cameras!
