the goat pen is stripped- are you protecting the trees? They will be stripped and girdled too. Would be invaluable to have rotational pens to prevent this deprivation. Sacrifice areas do happen, erosion crisis will follow in a large pen like that. By making 4 smaller spaces around a very small central shelter, you can give spaces a rest as you rotate. Mulching the bald land after you move the goats out will protect the land and rehabilitate quickly. Check out Alan Savoy's "Holistic Management" for some great understanding on rotational success.

True you need to motivate a man to work this way and be a good provider, if you nag and dont work with him where its needed he wil stop caring, Bea is a strong woman and she knows how to keep her man doing what he can. A good man needs a supportive woman just like a mother of children, she needs to be motivated its a hard job too rearing children.

I didn't see you mentioning it, but you may want to mark where the pipe has gone, because in a couple of years when that's all settled over it may be difficult to remember where exactly it is.

I don’t let anybody tell you any difference you figured out stuff on your own without having anybody to help you put those pipes together to make the water run up to your house that to me is smart and knowing what to do and how to do it without having a plumber come down and do it for ya, I’m very very proud of you both years and may God keep on bless you too out in Portugal. God bless you guys.

About your apple trees, we were a family immigrated from Holland to South Africa, in 1951, on one of my late mom's trips back, she brought back a (not sure what you call them,) a crab apple sapling, the first say ten years we had beautiful fruit more for cooking than eating but were tasty. Over the years the fruit got smaller and smaller, with very little flesh and flavour, in the end mom got rid of it. I was about 20 years old when mom got the sapling, and I am now 75. Just thought I might share this titbit.

Really impressive work, especially in that heat! I have a tough time doing much smaller tasks in the heat, so good for you. The property is really nice, and shows all your hard work. Also, with regards to your tractor, you're a good example of how to maintain and drive an older vehicle to keep it running for many, many years. I have an older Chevy commercial van that I use for my business. I put tons of miles on it (nearly 300k mostly highway), and I DON'T drive it like a maniac! My boyfriend taught me to close the doors gently to prevent the wear and tear on the electric window motor (very expensive to replace). It drives me crazy to see people riding their cars and equipment harder than they should! Wasteful.

Hi Guys - just a suggestion after watching you placing your water pipe and pumps. I’m base in Australia and do heaps of gardening. I note that hoses and plastic type pipes and fittings degrade very quickly in our sun and heat. I think it would really help to protect your exposed fittings to make a simple box cover for them to protect them from direct sunlight. Love your videos xx

I have always loved Bee’s chicks & that wonderfully vocal cockerel, but I’ve come to adore the goats as well. They give me a good chuckle. Nice use of ASMR to highlight the sound of them munching on the apples etc. In the USA, when my two daughters were young, I’d bring them to farms. The goats in the various farms were always trying to eat our clothing; it was a bit disconcerting. I wonder if your goats ever do that; haven’t seen them do that on camera-maybe you feed them better than at the farms my children used to visit. There were always a higher number of goats too in a smaller enclosure so perhaps that had something to do w/it. At any rate, I love your four girls & am glad they make you so happy. Thnx for sharing your lives w/us. This truly is one of my very favorite YT channels, which is saying a lot, & I adore the two of you!🥰💙🌺🫂

I would build a little box or cover for your valves to protect them from the sun. I live in Las Vegas NV and our sun is BRUTAL and will dry and age rot anything. The more protection from the sun the better. Also that woven hose on the top maybe coming out of the radiator is old an frayed too. : )

Those ‘wild vines’ are how the Spanish and Portuguese grow them, not on a wire trellises like you see in big vineyards. Prune them back in the late winter / early spring and they will flurish if the chickens and go eats don’t eat them first.

I think you should change all water hoses at the same time. Water always finds the weakest link and blows threw it. Now that you have the new thus smaller ID bottom hose you'll have more pressure on your system. That's an expensive and precious piece ob equipment to allow that cooling system to be repaired via emergency. Also the waterpump should be on your radar too.

Theo, may I dare to tell such a handy person how to unroll plastic piping? 😀 With the roll over your arm and the beginning of the pipe coming from the BOTTOM of the roll, fasten it to the ground with a weight (say, a stone), walk backwards and it will unroll perfectly. You can walk forwards but it’s a bit awkward. Hope that’s clear. Greeting to you and Bea from England.
