Lucky was a really smart addition to the story. In a post apocalyptic world, the bond between humans and dogs would likely be VERY strong and Lucky represents everything good about that relationship.

I would've under condition that he is not included in watch shifts, cant have weapons and has sleep in the center of the group away from whoever's on guard under watch of at least 1 with 2 on each shift. That way untill we know we can trust him preferably not until after we reach where we're going and definitely not taking detours suggested by him.

I live in rural oregon, I grew up in the south and mostly out of cities, so i know how to hunt fish and shoot guns, my moms boyfriend always tells me and my sister, "If nuclear war wages or a zombie apocalypse happens, grab as many guns as you can and head north to Agness" Agness is a really rural town close to us, and theres only like 2 points of entry and if you blow those up you just cant get in

Regarding the supplies they had to dump, my first thought was not just to chuck them in the woods, by try and bury them in a location that could be found again, in the event doubling back at some point was necessary. It should take quite a while even in damp earth for the cans to corrode enough to be compromised, and any plastic or foil packaging might remain intact for years.

What do you mean "forget"? The emergence of wide spread cannibalism in this sort of scenario is entirely speculative, the feverish imagining of bullet n' bean hoarders. Even in the incredibly rare cases of people resorting to it after intense privation, it's pretty much always been people eating the corpses of those already dead, not hunting the living. People forming hunting parties and slaughtering other humans while there are still canned goods all over the place is just a deeply weird fantasy.

You folks have one of the top five channels on KZbin! I've watched your videos for some time. This one really draws you in and makes you feel like you are part of the story. In spite of the fact that I live near a nuclear weapons storage site (and would therefor be vaporized by many simultaneously detonating enemy nukes) its still fascinating to imagine being one of the "lucky" survivors. The post nuclear Armageddon earth will be quickly bereft of modern medicine, modern entertainment, modern dentistry, and modern optometry. The world will essentially become one giant "going out of business" sale. All the good stuff will be exhausted early on, and as the months roll by, the stark reality of post apocalyptic life will be glaringly apparent. What's worse, any hope of an eventual recovery of human civilization will be obviated by the fact that there will not be enough easily extractable oil, natural gas, and uranium to reboot it. All of the power sources that grew the industrial revolution were used up in "Humanity Season 1." I can easily imagine a world where humans are about as common as mountain gorillas today. Not exactly extinct, but hardly a planet dominating species.

It's not that we have used them all up, it's that it takes a lot of knowledge (That's been lost) and manpower (there's not enough of us left) to get them out of the earth, refine them, then make use of them. There's more than enough resources left for the few million people who remain. The more immediate problem is the radiation.

Humanity and its civilization depends on high density of talented individuals to create a modern society. In a post-apocalyptic world, most of the smart people will be dead, and modern universities to educate more, will be a thing of the past.
