I've worked in many mine sites as an ICT technician and some remote enclosed villages/camps kind of look like minimum security prisons. Think about it - - barbed wired fences - its to stop wild life roaming in and outside people mooching off the food. - security/automated check in systems and - you require an access card to get inside the turnstiles and swing gates in the camp. - many workers come in and out via shuttles (small buses) - you all get a small cabin and there is sometimes a night curfew - most of us workers wore orange uniforms - Yes they are PPE and we didn't have to wear them in the camp. It wouldn't surprise me the construction of these mine site camps were done by the same companies that build specific prison facilities.
