Nice video. Always interesting to see the old kit that's about - I've repaired a couple of older inverters that had issues - failed relays and failed filter capacitors, but I bet the older stuff outlives the new kit...

Those plugs would make testing a lot easier! I usually crack the thing open and stick the spade connectors on. Found a dewalt xr18v li battery last week and this week found an impact drill/breaker that runs on it. Probably find a charger next week! But I did go out and buy a bag of cement on Monday, then I found 3/4 of one of those plastic bags of cement in a skip today, so now I have 2.

Well isn't that just the cussedness of life, bit like busses. Never had experience with Dewalt except those yellow angle grinders that had the duff bearings. I think you have one of the fixed ones, cheers

Hello. Just for a technical request. I have an Atlantic Explorer thermodynamic boiler. I plan to connect it to the PV panels. I inquired with the manufacturer who advised me to use the SmartGrid. And as my Omnik brand inverter does not have this option, would there be, depending on your knowledge and skills, another connection possibility (another technology compatible with my inverter, or why not, a change of inverter)? And if a change of inverter is necessary, what would be the model or brand of Smart Grid type. I am looking for solutions to make the most of my boiler, economically and ecologically? Thank you in advance for your information

Hi, I am unfamiliar with this boiler, is it a resistance heater and can it work with variable voltage. Is it high tech with it's own micro processor? cheers

I have one of these inverters. Is there a problem if nothing is showing up on the screen and no lights on run indicator?

Peter, sounds like a problem. The first test is to use your multi meter set on AC to check if there is mains power at the inverter. Next with the meter set On 1000v DC check there is DC power during the day. Best do this either first thing or last thing in the day when there would be volts but little current, safer that way. Be careful, cheers

Hi, you can add a power wall battery to any grid inverter system, but you cannot use this inverter off grid , cheers

@@TheInfoworks This could be used off grid with an inverter capable of AC coupling (sometimes called grid forming) that this inverter treats as the grid.
