Keys need to read the chips in the keys from memory, transponder ring on the ignition. I have had this issue before
@TheInjaАй бұрын
I don't think that's the case on this model. Doesn't have that tech.
@Skyfloats72Ай бұрын
@@TheInja ignition barrel will have HISS written on it, if it’s a chipped key usually. It’s a pain, because the ecu has to read the chip, before the fuel pump will kick in. They are also super battery sensitive to, sometimes it just needs a fresh one to make all the difference. Other culprit is the side stand switch.

Definitely would continuity check the wiring harness maybe for just that specific ground wire.

9:21 Mmm personally I'm not a fan of those built in indicator lights, too close together and indistinct from even a modest distance, far better to have wider separate units 👍🏻
@giggos58rudiАй бұрын
@the Inja check ignition diode, I had same issues on several hondas for one fix was diode as Andrew Hinds explains in the video on his channel. Other one was cps sensor(that took long time to diagnose) so just replaced it, but that is only when fuel pum is priming but no spark. The diode fix is when fuel pump is not priming. P.S. great work on videos watching since since electric "nightmare" bike built. Keep it up
@TheInjaАй бұрын
Yeah this model doesn't use a zener diode like other models! Just two wires from the ignition.
@Z32andCG6Ай бұрын
15:30 The oil isn't draining, it's circulating. You check the oil level on the stand like you have it, but, only when the bike is off for a few minutes at least. You're still thinking about the Mclaren oil level test while circulating but the bike is a simple old school visual test.
@mbrider2373Ай бұрын
Have you bypassed the tip sensor behind the headlight to check if that's an issue? In a crash you never know what's jarred. I've had kill switches malfunction, kickstand sensor issues, almost have to go wire by wire when it comes to a crashed machine. Good luck, it's starting to come along
@TheInjaАй бұрын
All the main components we voltage tested so everything that seems "obvious" we've confirmed in working order! Suspicious of a broken wire right now.

@shawnpreston3698Ай бұрын
If it's an ebay ignition and key, that could be your issue. You need an oem ignition and key for the fuel pump to prime. Had that issue on my cbr

Watching you torture test that starter for 10 secs was horrible to watch but I understand and forgive you bro. Also, the starter is a main component of security features and processes to many bikes. With my Kawasaki, the ignition wont give power to or ground the starter if the correct voltage is not read on a specific security wire coming from the ignition. It might be yellow or gray and it also might have a inline resistor that has failed and any store bought on of the right size should fix it. Also the neutral, kickstand, or, clutch switch are next. Al this info can be searched for in the manual as well as is there a chip in the actual key? That will keep the pump from getting power as well.
@TheInjaАй бұрын
All good questions! The 06 CBR1000 don't use the zener diodes like other models. No key chips. All handlebar switches check out, looking for a broken fuel pump wire going into the ECU next!
@MacWallaceArbitrationServiceАй бұрын
Have you checked the FI/RUN switch on the right bar? If it's malfunctioning, the bike will crank but not start. If it's OK and on, you'll hear the fuel pump prime as soon as you put the key on.

The clip on the chain you installed seems to be pointing the wrong way.....
@kimbaertasbert7157Ай бұрын
Yes, it feels like it. Plus, for such a powerfull bike you should not use clips. Better to use the permanent links.
@mementomori4972Ай бұрын
If there's coolant mixed with oil, there is obviously something wrong. May not be the head gasket, but something has to give for that to happen. Maybe check the cylinder liners for corrosion and cavitation, but that's pretty odd....
@TheInjaАй бұрын
Could just be. At this point just crossing my fingers and getting it to run first.
@evotech_builtАй бұрын
Put a rivet style master link they cheap online or cycle gear worth the safety and check chain tension with bike on the ground plus you sitting on it. After 50 miles check tension again and wipe off the chain lube that came with the chain then put some quality chain lube!
@TheInjaАй бұрын
Yeahhhhh that would probably be best. But we're going for cheap here. Haha. Used a clip type chain in the past with no issues.

keys are coded to the ecu, if they lost a key or changed the barrel it wont prime.

Defiantly the key you have has no chip in it and the HISS (Honda intergrated security system) is not sending power to fuel pump. You need to let a key with chip and code it to the bike.
@TheInjaАй бұрын
Hmmm don't think the fireblade use that tech. Previous owner was running this key, so not thinking that's the issue here.
