This came following a viral vlog by a Nigerian lady who documented her journey from Nigeria to Ireland with her six siblings.A lady and her six siblings arrived in the European country on a family visa to join their father who had been abroad for years. Addressing the viral video on X, the Irish man, Michael OKeeffe lamented the unsustainable wave of relocation to his country through asylum and other routes. “Nigerian man comes to Ireland and applies for asylum, then he gets approved for family reunification and brings his wife and 7 children to Ireland. We are being overrun. This is simply not sustainable,” he captioned the video. He further shared a statistic showing the number of Nigerians claiming asylum in Ireland while a fresh new batch were recently approved.
