Try forklift parts suppliers for Datto engine parts, a lot of early forklifts used this motor, TCM especially. TVH in Brisbane is the main one I used for parts when in that industry for all brands of forklift parts.

By the sound of the noise, it's probably the fan touching the shroud. If it was the water pump, it would sound deeper, less "tinny". Just try removing the top half of the shroud and you'll probably find it's gone. Good luck with it all and look forward to your next video...John Barmera

Yep..that sounds like the water pump to me as well. best get it done asap so you dont cook the motor from a leak if the seal in the pump lets go.

Don’t quote me but I think the E series engines and J series engines shared the same water pump? Mines an E1 1200 in my datto and I ordered it from my auto pro store. Or eBay of course. 👍

pretty hard to find those nikki carbs these days, considering you could literally buy them from a magazine for next to nothing they are a good carb, been looking for one for my 74 mini for a while but ended up just using a Weber 28/36DCD

I love this dato, most of the motor parts you need you can get from precisionintl.com Australian company. There is also more parts on ebay nowadays
