GREAT TO SEE YOU AGAIN HARV. Hope you continue to progress and get better. ive actually got a trimmer just like this Harv. that was given to me. i got it running and realized WHY he gave it to me. he couldnt keep it running so i brought it home and got it running...VERY boggy and sluggish. i said when i get time away from saws that i was gonna attempt to port it. its been 3 years, so now is a good a time as any!

Question, tips, tricks Stihl 090 piston mods? Where to trim weight, could I drill small port windows to reduce weight and slightly increase piston flow, without hinderingstrength? Building dedicated Long bar 76 - 90" alaskan sawmill. Your porting tips n tricks done to my farmertec 880, straight power, snapped, broke my chain during break-in buckin 56" bar. No timing wheel "yet", no timing change, just piston mods (weight, flow, single ring), port shape, flow. Intake tricks. Difference from old stock (struggling to buck 56"), tips n tricks in the new motor, snapped the 56" chain, and pulles very respectfully 76" milling dry hard Maple. Help pointers on 090 piston?? THANK YOU!!!

glad you are feeling better. Your shows are always interesting but to get off the topic of string trimmers I have a couple of Pioneer P-41 saws but one has a bad ignition module is there an aftermarket fix because here in southern Ontario and everywhere else there are no modules available any help would be appreciated thanx

Nice to see the good guy online again :) remember Jonsered is not made by husqvarna it was a factory bought up bu electrolux and all husqvarna after that are jonsered copys. This stuff happend in the 80`s all over the globe i think, Norway "lost Jobu" sweeden lost jonsered think same happend in US and Canada. I live in Norway and a Jonsered is gold for ppl that use chainsaws :)

You’re looking great sir! Been thinking about you, keep focusing on your health, you got this. I recently started using a continuous glucose monitor and it really changed my perspective about my diet, I have been able to manage my blood sugar without insulin and by intermittent fasting as well as severely limiting carbs. I feel so much better and I sleep better. Hope the same for you ❤

Good to see you Harv. Glad you're feeling better. I started dabbling with a leaf blower lately. An old John Deere branded Echo. Going to try to get some more jam out of it. I'm interested in seeing where this goes.

I have a Husqvarna 430LS, I modified the muffler, a job on the transfers. and improved his power and speed. Happy with the result, I have been using it weekly for more than a year to work. I'm using maxima super m at 50.1 and it creates a lot of carbon and frizzes my piston rings. I already cleaned the piston once and it was like new, no wear, it still has the marks from the lathe.

100% agree with ya. An thats always the battle in the shop, especially having to run oem parts! Shop rate minimum of $45/hr plus parts, setup for failure in a throw away world we live in now days. Ebay/Amazon has changed the world, but fine line to dance on with oem/aftermarket parts.

Hi buddy.. I like stihl 4 mix trimmers they have torque but low rpms..they will chew through about anything.. they embarrass most other trimmers in my opinion..2 strokes do like oil ive found🙃🙃👍👍

Why not cut the piston and base instead of adding mass to the piston?
@Ketis19855 ай бұрын
As far as compression mods i would just run that stock piston with gasket delete....
@matthewbutcher2035 ай бұрын
@Ketis1985 it would be much simpler to drop the cylinder and cut a popup than weld a popup on the piston, plus the less rotating mass they have, the more responsive it will be...
@Ketis19855 ай бұрын
@@matthewbutcher203 im aware of that , but it wont need more compression than what just simple base gasket delete will give...
