Hi i have weird question , is there any method to change the frame size of the country leader picture ? because some times when i make new country leader picture for any country some details in the image will be very small and hard to see and some times i had to cut some part of the image so it will be suitable for the frame size of the picture and i really don’t like that , i hope that you have solution for that and thanks

Hoi4 is one of the easiest games to mod! Everything is prettymuch dynamic and can be changed easily. Try modding for Fallout 4 (It's fucking ugly)

Thank you for the tutorial! Very informative and easy to understand! Just a tip for the goal gfx, instead of reloading the game to see the national focus picture properly, you can add another one in-game with the same gfx, just move it away from x or y axis and you'll see the updated photo.

Agreed, the Bulgarian and Serbian focus trees arent even focus trees they just used the default focus tree then added Serbia/Bulgaria to each focus.

One piece of additional syntax I would have liked to know is how to make a focus's prerequisites include multiple focuses or an 'or function.' Like "generic focus 3" requires you to have "generic focus 2" or "generic focus 1" complete.

If your mod is not showing up. Try renaming the OneDrive folders where the documents are located. Cannot have special and non-standard characters. it helped me.

Hello, I have a question. I created a focus tree with custom icons, everything is working fine in game. But as I wanted to add my country in the main menu (instead of Japan) by editing the_gathering_storm.txt file, the leader, the national spirits and the description show up correctly except for the focuses. Only names of the focuses show up but the graphics don't load (the game shows focuses of previously clicked country). Is it a common problem and do you know how to fix it? Thank you in advance!

I followed the video and everything seems to work fine, but I noticed a weird thing: two of the focus icons I added a shine animation to, always play after a certain amount of time even if the focus can't be started. Imagine a gif that containes the shine, with a lot of still frames before the animation. That's pretty much what it looks like. What's even weirder is that one of the two icons has a mutually exclusive focus with a very similar icon: I coded them exactly the same way (I placed the text side by side, the only difference is that one has the word _broken right before _shine in the name) yet only one of those two (the one with the _broken bit in the name) always shows the shine, while the other icon works just fine.

I made 2 foccuses, focus A and focus B. Focus B requires focus A to be able to start it. I gave them both the same icon. But focus A keeps an question mark as icon. Only when I start, finish or click on the focus it shows me the icon i gave it. But when I just look at the focus tree its the question mark icon again? Also when I start the focus the icon shows up and it stays even when i cancel it? But it doesnt show up at anytime when I right click on my country. Lots of people are having troubles adding more then one focuses, for me the focus = { had a close bracket too early, click on the bracket after focus and it will highlight the close bracket in red and check if its before the ai bit

Im trying to make a mod for a friends birthday and I have followed your steps in the video. Somehow it wont "overwrite" the normal ingame files and when I boot the game up in the debug or regular mode it wont even register that I have my new mod installed. So, if anyone can help, I've done everything and everything is functional. One Problem. I have three focuses. The first focus is normal and the second and third focus are dependend on the first one and also exclusive to each other. Without having finished any focus I only see two of the three focus pictures (first focus and third focus). Only if I finish the first focus the picture of the second focus appears. Im trying to make my focus tree be prioritized over the one in the rt56 mod, ive tried putting the add = 100 in the modifiers, but that didnt work. Someone mentioned using on_startup, do you know where to use it?

If you are trying to overwrite an existing focus tree just make sure that your file is named exactly as the file that holds the R56 focus file. And also make sure to configure your mod as a submod, see details here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZ-0pXWQltaUns0

Hey! Im having a problem with something... Is there a command in the focus syntax when you complete it you change party. Basicly, is there a syntax code that changes your party when completing a focus?

Hi, I have a problem, because when I do my Focus tree for Ukraine and then put these focuses in the "localization" folder, I have a "ukr_focus_mod_focus_I_polish" folder there, everything is done like in the film and the names still contain _, do you know how to fix it?
