The ability to keep a straight mind is needed to build a life. Most poor people can’t manage to manage their own thoughts, less their lives. This is a fundamental commonality among them. Emotional decision makers based on short term gratification.

Most certainly.... unfortunately thinking of everyone a bit better off are evil, for having become a blueprint. The mindset that can't be let go. Breaking from cycle mentality means I will be evil, so better stay on the group. We will self sabotage in order to not be outcast by the group. Example is how black communities(USA) seemed to value more when someone comes back from prison than from college.

It's quite obvious since the first episode. It's laziness and a victim mentality versus a meritocracy. I know this because I grew up in government housing and eventually made my way out through hard work and sacrifice. I used to be exactly the same, hating the rich and victimising myself for years.

It is a very complex subject and nowhere near black or white here are a few self evidential facts. The starting line is not equal for poor people there is no examples to make better actions and decisions the wealthy get a 100k plus education do not have to take a minimum wage job to keep a roof over their heads and food in their belly. It would not be unusual for the parents to buy them their first house and car. Job wise they do not have to worry firstly because of the support they will get secondly because the old boy network is a real thing and their parents friends or even school friends will sort them out. I do not claim that the poor are more noble or better they are not if you can arrange to be born into a wealthy family do so and no doubt it comes with its own struggles but looking behind the sofa for enough change for some noodles will not be one of them

Absolutely shocked at the complete lack of gratitude from the snoring team when Yuka was brought to them in the spirit of kindness. The snobs had already given fire and now food. Getting attitude in return and resentment was so out of line. It does appear that miss piggy thinks that walking around with her pink bathing suit up her ass is her contribution. I mean you're right, but the "poor" team were already annoyed at the wealthier team for taking all the string and the freshly boiled water, so it makes sense they wouldn't react well to receiving handouts from the team that "stole" from them. That said, between the bigger girls in the poor camp and Sheree in the wealthy camp, I'm not sure which one has it worse... Its either dead weight or an overbearing bossy leader, both will just add to your stress levels. If those 3 were removed from the island, I would bet decent money that the two groups would instantly merge again and get on.
@coleengoodell7523
@coleengoodell7523 Жыл бұрын
@@cascade1788Not to make light of your observation, from what I saw and heard was that the snob team had gathered all the string to begin with and were in need of it to build their raft to move. They may have also collected the water and the water can may have originally been there's. It also appeared that they were going to have to start their own fire once they relocated and that normally takes some time and effort, which might have put them in a very bad situation. Whereas, the snoring team already had fire, firewood and gathered water ready. Just my take. I have a feeling that Sheree is going to burn herself out pretty quickly as she is using up a great deal of energy bossing others around and pushing herself too hard to set an example for a bar that she's not going to be able to sustain.

@@KingShxdow_ I completely agree, lots of useless snobs. But some have strategies that work much better in the long run. Just taht of taking care of your own health is a start, the poor team mostly consists of overweight people without performance and long endurance to solve tasks when needed.... in practice a death sentence when the shits hits the fan. would have ally myself with those who have the will and ability to contribute to the community, the rest is just "waste" that needs to be sifted out. Sounds harsh and brutal, but in a survival situation you have to separate the god from bad, if not it will only drag everyone down the drain.

@@vegarhlthe rich group’s “plan” is to use their social capital - their snobbery - to ostracize the awkward one and manipulate him into doing most of the work for them. It’s sickening. I doubt the art dealer, the donations manager, or the other doctor would give a single sh*t about whether they were helping anyone else out. When the fire went out, they literally blamed him even though *they* were tending the fire! “James” is Dr. James Gill, a medical KZbinr with a decent following, look him up. He always came across as a nice guy but this show is proving that he is.

8:20 if anyone didn’t know, “James” is Dr. James Gill, a relatively successful KZbinr who makes instructional videos for medical students. He’s got dozens if not more of videos up, you can search for him. I had no idea he’d done a stint on this show. I DID know he was a weirdo, but let me tell you, if you’ve got a medical condition, you want a weirdo on your side and not someone who thinks they’re better and more important than 99% of the population.

Cause he "took too long" to get the termite mound... Which is ridiculous, even running at full pelt he probably wouldn't have been back by the time the fire went out. Sheree just wanted someone to blame and he was the only other person involved, so she blamed him.

"It's all the neurodivergent's... I mean James fault" I didn't know James could control the weather and cause torrential downpours, or make people not build a good enough shelter for their fire. Dang it James, you should've gave them the thoughts to do that. Like really? They can't take any responsibilities and they have to lay blame? What narcissists.

How tf was it Jame's fault? The guy went out to do something productive and get a valuable resource the group needed. What was he supposed to do rush and risk his safety as well? How bout the others get off their asses and help him so he didn't have to take as long as he did. Imagine if at least one other person went with him and took the 1st cut and tell James "I'm going to bring this to the camp now to keep the fire going." Instead, it's one guy doing all the work and risking his safety for the group. Lady you had one fucking job, James took it upon himself to put the weight of everybody's situation on his shoulders and do something about it. Don't blame him.
