I have a very personal experience with this song. I was 19, on a 8-hour flight, so bored and excited at the same time, looking forward to seeing new things and looking for a good album to listen to. Then I thought about Jake. I had listened to him a few times before on the Burberry show. And this song was just popped. Whenever I listen to this song, so many memories just poured in. The heat, the sun, the summer breath, the scent of the fig tree, my ever-changing emotions, him. I just love it.

Queria desabafar um pouco sobre essa música. Essa música ela tem um grande significado para mim, pois eu a dediquei para uma pessoa que para mim, eu acreditei que fosse "A pessoa certa", com o tempo, essa pessoa foi me menosprezando, dizendo que quando melhorasse de sua doença ele iria me deixar. Eu chorava todas as noites por causa dessa maldita frase dita. Eu nunca demonstrei fraqueza para ele, nunca demonstrei tristeza, dor, minhas lágrimas, nada que me fazia pra baixo. E ele sempre dizendo que iria me encontrar, não importa aonde fosse, ele iria saber que eu não era uma imaginação dele. Com o tempo, conheci uma pessoa que estava me ajudando com isso, como lidar com toda essa situação, mas nunca dizendo que estava sentindo amor por ele. Passando alguns meses, comecei a namorar esse rapaz, e , o outro, não sabendo dessa situação, dizendo que ele sentia minha falta (porque eu havia me afastado para esquece-lo, mas não usando meu atual como um objeto para esquecer ele). Ele sentiu minha falta com o tempo, assim como eu sentia quando ele sumia. Antes d'eu excluir ele da minha vida, eu escrevi um texto, mas no final com as seguintes palavras: "Eu senti atração por você, mas não posso dizer que é amor, pois estamos vivendo um presente muito cedo. Eu senti abstinência por você, mas com algumas dúvidas de que é amor. Eu me senti negligente longe de você, mas com a meia afirmação de que é amor. Hoje, eu vi que eu tenho que partir da sua vida, e sabe, eu percebi que é amor e isso dói. Dói porque estou vivendo um amor não correspondido, dói porque estava vivendo apenas palavras, não atitudes. Tudo bem que vai demorar para te tirar da minha vida, vou sentir sua falta sim, pois posso dizer que isso é amor sim, mas sabe, amor passageiro, assim como o seu. Isso me fez perceber que a minha vida não era algo normal, eu era carente, tinha depressão e não sabia o que era amor, hoje faz 7 meses que eu abandonei-o e só queria saber por onde andas, queria saber se estás bem, se o coração ainda é o mesmo de antes. Só queria saber por onde andas essa mente sem fim.

Some people enjoy different music, others are too close minded and only like the voices heard in normalcy. I love his voice, I find it unique unlike every other artist around nowadays and some of his songs even blend in with some 60's tunes.
