This song speaks to me through losing a loved one. The 'something good' is something that has initially attracted our attention. When that thing impales us, the world turns upside down and becomes chaotic and unfathomable. When we reach for our swords and separate ourselves from the thing that impaled us, we become free from our attachments and find attraction the 'something good' again. But, this time, we are left with a hole the shape of what impaled us before.

It can also be the pain of knowing that your loved one is with someone else(only for the time being, without a break up). And "something good" distracts you from thinking about it. "Something good" can be any form of sedation, softer or as hard as drugs depending on how depressed it makes one feel. This alternative interpretation makes it more relatable for me.

I really think this is amazing! I love how they used framing to give the video a surreal and chaotic effect. I also find it interesting that it is sort of from the matador's perspective as we see his more or less hallucinations as he dies from blood loss.
