Took watching pretty much all these clips to realize Craig would use whatever the guest was promoting only as a *fallback* conversation topic, rather than the centrepiece ... this might be the key difference as to why he built such great rapport with guests so quickly

It's an odd thing that Banks could direct such a more or less unconsciously man-hating movie as Charlie's Angels and very obviously love Craig's way of handling things.
@treehuggerdude42 жыл бұрын
I kind of get it. Craig is sexy but he is definitely a feminist and very respectful of women. I like how he caught himself with the Ghost Chimp MD bit and said she could be a doctor instead of a nurse on the show. He knows how to treat women so he invariably wins them over, regardless of their politics.
@SCharlesDennicon2 жыл бұрын
@@treehuggerdude4 What makes you say he's a feminist? Feminism is an ideology, it's political. Loving women, being very respectful of them, it doesn't require to be a feminist, it's just common sense.
@treehuggerdude42 жыл бұрын
@@SCharlesDennicon I say he's a feminist because beyond being friendly to women, he respects their need for personal, political and economic independence. From Martha Stewart to Betty White to Katie Couric, he celebrates strong independent women- he celebrates their accomplishments and models how men can treat and relate to the strong women in their lives. Unlike other male comedians, he does not try to dominate them or mock them for wanting to be independent, career driven or politically active. Feminists have long said that the personal is political and the political is personal. By celebrating strong independent women and exuding a non patriarchal interpretation of masculinity that supports and collaborates with women (as opposed to subjugating or competing with them), he is feminist. Those are my views, perhaps others see him differently.

My life was busy when Craig's show was on "live". I saw it maybe two times coming home from my second job and remember thinking: Who is that Scottish dude in a poorly lit studio that comes up too close to the camera? Now I have more time so I watch the clips and leave comments like this one. Now I know that "poorly lit" and "too close to the camera" was Craig's schtick but I am a photographer and I really thought it that at that time. As far as studio lighting and camera work conventions go. Craig is the best.

I think that "make a living using this mouth" line would have been funnier if I hadn't seen it coming from the question title. Especially since it was an unintentional double-entendre, unlike a lot of funny lines that are intentional flirting. Also, being in the last of 6 appearances was a long time to wait for it. I really like these compilations you're making; keep it up please. I hope that feedback helps you pick titles for future ones. Also, the audio is out of sync with the video by about 0.2 or 0.3 seconds in appearance 5/6. Fortunately it's easy to play youtube videos in an external player that lets you tweak this. (e.g. with mpv).
@TheJayLenoFly7 жыл бұрын
I'll make a note of this. I kinda spoiled it then. Thank you man, glad you do. You know, early days on this channel, the videos had alot of issues, but people chipped in with feedback like this and it's much better because of that. So I appreciate you very much. Some others just complain without giving anything constructive and in contrast, you're an angel. Happy you found a way around that, it's unfortunate when they are out of sync like that, happens once in a while that they escape my attention in the edits. Thanks again!

I like Craig Ferguson, but I don’t like Liz Banks. She is one of these ultra-feminists who resents men. She played nice with Craig because she had something to promote. Did you see her speech where she lectured men on seeing woman-centric movies and how they should pay her the courtesy of watching them since she has watched many man-centered movies? Well, Liz, I’ll decide for myself what movies I’ll lay my money down to see, and it probably won’t be one of your films! Save the lecture for someone who gives two craps what you think.

Im unsure of the ultimate result, however from every perspective I've discovered, Craig is wearing out and destroying the elements of life that have and are evolving into feelings of comfort and confidence that our spicies thrives upon and can not exist without. Craig has discovered that gaining access to finding these special and powerful elements of joy can only be found through a woman. And it is a thrill to observe, and also an honor. His long list of documented experiences include nearly every known and finest sources of viewing this topic that has and is upon this Earth.... Undeniably.

about the poking or his 10-year-old kid. I get it. When we first put our child in his own bedroom I would sleep on the floor by his crib and placed one arm through the railing with my hand touching his chest to be sure he was breathing. Those horror tells people use to try and frighten you, don't cha know are enough to make you do whatever it takes to keep your child alive and well. I will tell him about it one day when he has children to frighten him as well. Noooo, I love my son. He is now 32 years old and he needs to hurry up and have a son or I will not be around to see him graduate from college. Harvard, don't cha know.

This isn't every appearance. She was a guest in 2005, but the first one you have is from 2007 (another upload of that appearance has the movie clip, and it's Spider-Man 3). IMDb says she only appeared six times (and you have six appearances), but IMDb missed a second appearance in 2008 (December 9th) according to Wikipedia. So that would mean the second and third appearances you have are the two 2008 appearances (which corresponds with the dates those appearances are given in other KZbin uploads), which means the six clips you have does not include her first appearance in 2005.
