This summer I lived in my car, I had a bed in the back of my SUV and spent my time driving around the Rocky Mountains and sleeping at free campsites. just to read something while listening: _its night. you and your friends were out camping as a celebration for you as you got an admission in a college you always wanted to go to. everyone is sitting near the campfire, the others roasting marshmallows on the fire, while your best friend is signing all the og songs y'all listened to since you were little. you sit there, eating your marshmallow. you realize that sometimes you just need a break from the city and just be with the nature. it calms you down, removing all the worries in your mind. you feel carefree and happy. its an escape from all the pollution, noise, and the stress. plus you have your friends who are there for you all the time. sometimes we should just forget our worries and stay in the moment and enjoy the view._

It's 1 am, I'm in a cold room with a blanket and my cats huddled up next to me. Despite my best efforts the stress of work has been getting to me as I try to stop smoking, sometimes I can barely sleep. But this video evokes a sense of calm in me, a silent freedom by campfire. No need to justify how or why I feel. That kind of freedom keeps me going. Thank you for helping me find this place again and again, one day I will not lose it. Listening and studying to this music with my window open to the suburbia quietly yet quickly trying to get home for the night. Since I took off my glasses for a second, the glare of the cars' lights are leaving trails implanted in my head and somehow it's so soothing. The quiet chirps of crickets are there and once in a while a car or two will pass. Listening to this makes me feel like floating. this reminds me of all the times camping in alabama with the guys. we had all the mountains around the valley named. Mt. Pleasant, Berry Mountain, Chigger Mountain and so on. we'd pack up pop tarts and canned stews and have a big time. sometimes we'd be out there at 17 degrees. couldn't let the fire die out. making pine straw tea. those were wonderful days with my brothers. laughter and music and dreams of the future.

The logs dipped in ash and a pile to be added yet, sit in the heat that the warm flame provides. I perched on a fallen branch find solace in brushing my own arm, as a creature in the brush acknowledges the flame too. I add the logs yet to be placed and shuffle back to the branch. I sip the last lingering juices from the beans can and wash it down with a nice brew. My head snaps to my phone, like a bird to a worm as it glows to notify me of the time. I switch it off an toss it in my bag as I know its only tying me to back home. Standing up I notice the reflection on the lake of the full moon as the moon itself looms over with curiosity watching my every move. Retiring to my tent I look up to the stars, and reflect on the summer I've had. I hope that the harsh winters breath won't hit me as bad. Cocooning myself up in my sleeping bag as the cicadas symphony sets my sails to dream land.
