Natural talent doesn't require much effort. Her vocals just flow witj the rhythm and her memory is flawless. Clearly she loves her music and enjoys her performing. So beautiful 😍. I love her Spanish interpretations.

The beauty of her singing is the rhythm and rime of the color and sound of her voice. she is truly a rare jewel of the intellectual side of music. I first heard Astrud singing on a gramophone in a café in Lourenco Marques in Moćambique, I was about 14 years old. Her voice made such an incredible impression on me, while my friends where all listening to the latest hits of the day, I found myself totally captured by the sounds of Brazilian Jazz.

In the early '60s my Mother had the Astrud Gilberto album playing in the background. In my early 20s I asked my Mother about the album. She told me it was in a box in the rafters in the garage. I found it, and fell in love with it all over again. I have quite a bit of her music now. I recommend Getz au GoGo!
