Glad to see you two back in action. Had no doubt that a BAND-MAID song would be a "CRANK IT!"

Thanks, guys, nice having the carpool stop by! "A darker Dice" is a pretty good way to put it. I've seen the first season of "Kengan Shura" (for which this is the ED), and it's a dark, violent anime, so it fits. Yeah, you guys should consider doing a few cuts off Unseen World or the Unleash EP. UW is a gd masterpiece IMO, e.g. Why Why Why, H-G-K, Chemical Reaction, I Still Seek Revenge, Black Hole, Giovanni, etc.

Kengan Ashura is very violent. Dudes getting beat basically to death, but nothing in the show compares to the beating Akane’s drums got for this song.

Another Maid banger! You can feel the🔥come through the screen. "Shambles" ain't no sham! Just watch it grow on you like they always do! Thanks Band-Maid... and thx, Guys! Welcome back! Long live Band-Maid! Long live The Warning!

Band Maid is one of many bands whose lyrics urge you to believe in yourself, to fight through adversity to achieve your goals, to confront your fears and stare them down. Many of these bands, however, don't really seem to bring these (supposed) beliefs into the real world. Band Maid lives their lyrics. Take the last point mentioned as an example; Kanami fears heights, yet there she is in "Influencer", playing while standing on the edge of a cliff in an old quarry; Band Maid working with significant displays of live fire in "Non-Fiction Days", "Warning" and "Shambles" [during the filming of "Non-Fiction Days", where Akane's dress caught on fire -- it obviously didn't discourage them]; playing in front of an actual, dramatic explosion in "Warning" [no, it was not painted-in by computer]. The Ladies live what they preach. They are truly badass women!

They have made 4 trips to the US in the past year. An oct '22 tour. Then the opening act for The Last Rockstars Japanese supergroup in Feb '23. Then another trip May with 3 festival appearances and concerts. Then back in Aug for Lollapalooza and more shows including Mexico for 1st time in 5 years . Then back to Japan and a new song Go Easy played at Nagoya. No Mv or single yet. It is their 10th year and they are playing at another level.

Welcome back, Carpool guys!! You just missed the opportunity to watch Band-Maid live again because they played in Atlanta, Charlotte, and Nashville in May of this year😏 For the longest and coolest conversation between MISA and Kanami, please check the live performance of "HATE?" from Lollapalooza: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hafXfIWQbt2naac

You'll have a blast catching up because their music since 2021 is a blast. FROM NOW ON, INFLUENCER, UNLEASH. BAND-MAID just finished their US tour. I saw them last year and I caught The Warning in May. Hope they come back next year. Keep it going. Peace. 2.31

Welcome back to Band Maid! I’m not saying it’s a good reason, but the reason they do the distortion over the vocals is so that when it clears up for the chorus so the chorus pops just an extra level and help it stand out more. Since you mentioned Dice, there is a two song video from Lollapalooza that I recommend. It’s “Dice & Hate?” They kind of flow into one another and I think you’ll enjoy.

You have a link? I have heard OF Hate? but I've never actually heard it, don't think JD has either. Also heard that performance was amazing!

@@somejoshthing absolutely kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2fKp5pvjcxnd9E Hate starts (or at least Dice ends) at 4:02 if you want to skip that song. The audio is very good for a live performance, just a step below their official live videos. But miles above fan cams.

Yeah, I remember you guys. Welcome back to the Maids and man have you missed a lot and have a lot of catching up to do because Band-Maid never stopped and are full steam ahead! They are on their 10yr Anniversary tour. The filters they use on Saiki's voice has been used for years and has a purpose. For the amount of songs where they DON'T use the filter you can handle a song or two with it, don't chastise the producers for that...be nice to them because they bring us much joy with Band-Maid videos. Later Boys......

The lo-fi parts seems to be done tastefully with Band Maid. However, hearing "Shambles" live at Sac and HoB Anaheim, Kanami's intro riff in lo-fi seems a bit muffled, but on the fan cams audio on YT, it's really clear, of course, I'm not in the line of sight of Mincho's rig, Po! They just need to crank her up. Great reaction, Sirs and welcome back, Po! 🦍🍌

This one is growing on me. Sometimes I feel with their newer stuff they are going for technicality at the expense of musicality, but this one definitely comes closer to the kind of picky balance I prefer - but it's not as if they care about my opinion. Anyway, somehow my comment on The Warning reaction vanished, perhaps because of my greed at offering two suggestions. Both are from Korea, but a world away from K-Pop. The first are Rumkicks, a female punk band, who play some of the catchiest upbeat punk you'll hear, who are starting to make a name for themselves, for their music, and their look. This is "Drinking Every Day" kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXzZkqKwr910qpI. The 2nd are their good friends 18Fevers, who you might actually prefer, with a harder more rock-like sound. This is their fine song "Gatekeeper". kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2mXaZWeiMx6nrM If your reaction list is too long, just have a listen anyway. I think they are great, and I hope you will too. ps, on the 15th of this month, I actually get to see The Let's Go's, for the first time, in Tokyo.
