Unfortunately I have a story that matches exactly this so here we go: During around december a form got sent from our school to us students and our parents by e-mail. In that mail the principal (or just the school in general) asked what our opinions were if they were to ban phones in class. As you probably can imagine me and my friends started filling in that form with all the reasons we could think of to get them to not ban our phones (how was I supposed to not fail french if I couldn't just put my phone on my knee with all the answers?!?) But unfortunately our school (I'm just gonna call the people in charge there that) didn’t listen and in January phones were banned inside our classrooms, we needed to have them in our lockers, which have recently been replaced by even smaller ones (what was the point, some of my books couldn't even fit in there) and so they replaced the keys with our personal student cards (and I have a record of losing cards whether it was my student card (lost 2x) or my debit card (lost 4x?) or my library card (lost once)). I lost, while not even being surprised with myself, my student card just about a week later from when that rule started, but in that time period I never ever put my phone in there because my locker got from being in the cafeteria to the 3rd floor and I would not have the energy to put my phone in there. I don’t think a single soul from my class put our phone in our locker, the only thing that rule did was make us turn our phones on silent and be more cautious around teachers with our phones (while some of my classmates don't even care now). So, last month (and it's May 31st while I type this so I mean April) we had physics and we had a 30-minute schedule so we didn’t even have that much time during the class, so when that class started, a few minutes in, we heard a Snapchat notification. And our teacher said: "The one whose phone that was can turn it in right now." Obviously it sounded very threatening but not really like something one of my classmates would actually oblige to that, but since it came out of our corner (not really a corner, half our class sat there), everyone started pointing fingers at eachother. So what our teacher did, was let the rest of the class go on the break and asked us to put every. single. damn thing we had in our bag on top of the table. He went out of the classroom to do something (I have no idea what he did but I so so hope that classroom did not have camera's). In the meantime we had to put all of our stuff on the table and all of us thought of ways to hide our phones, while I was a little stressing where to hide since I didn’t have a hoodie on, I didn't have big enough pockets, I didn’t have a laptop case and I didn't know what to do. So I just left my phone in there. And with all the luck that the gods gave me he didn’t actually check if our bags were empty, instead he gave up and let us go since no one fessed up when he asked (I was considering doing it because he would let everyone in our corner stay after class until 5 and I would probably get my phone back before 5 but I'm still glad I didn’t do it). To this day no one knows which phone it was. Ok bye
