This is great info thanks. I’m a 42 year old Blue belt and have only ever managed to train twice per week consistently. At the moment I’ve had to drop down to just once a week for a few months for personal reasons which is quite frustrating but these tips, plus a bit of visualisation, are really useful thanks. I think people who train BJJ often get completely obsessed with how many times per week they’re training as if all students are equal; if one person trains twice per week and another trains three times per week then obviously the three times per week student is better! I think people concentrate way too much on training volume as a badge of honour but they need to look at the bigger picture in terms of years: it’s not first past the post, it’s Last Man Standing!
