Nobody has said it yet but it sure looks like u end up i a position similar to a Taekwondo sidekick. Maybe take a look at how they teach their bodies to do the movement.

@@TheJiuJitsuTherapist i like a fun challenge (which this is just mental and physical torture) and I am a huge fan of UFC from years ago, and its good to know self-defense for the ground. I just cant mentally overcome getting smashed every roll and feeling lost and stupid cuz i miss openings and counters, also im very physically weak so I let people mount me cuz im just dead

I have trained bjj for 9 and a half years before injury. Now I am 6 months post surgery and I thought to return on the 7th month but right now I am reconceiving my plans after hearing your thoughts. Or maybe just for warm ups, solo drills and stretching?

39 year old here (full time job and two kids). Tore my acl in 2017 (after 17 years of thai and mma) then reconstructed ...trainined at home with bags weights airdyne etc since 2017...jan 2024 joined a bjj gym..one month and acl went again. Not sure if martial arts is worth it if you have other priorities.

I just wanted to circle back on this, regarding my comment below. I had a follow up MRI this week - 8 months after the first one and it shows that my ACL is healing by itself. Obviously i'm really happy about this, and I'm very glad I didn't go with surgery.

Great vid man. I partially tore my pec from the humerus , and I will do this, as my shoulders are stiff as F..... Also not sure whether you have any advice on how to get back to "normal" (I know I will never be normal unfortunately) . A blue belt from Hungary. Greetings.
@TheJiuJitsuTherapistАй бұрын
Hey, Sorry to hear about the injury. I would suggest to see a Physical Therapist to have them assist you with regaining shoulder mobility and strength. You need to work within your abilities and perform everything to comfort...again having a therapist or medical professional guide your recovery is very important.

I partially tore my pecs (armbar) , the doctor is saying that surgery is useless, or it has high risks. My M.pectoralis partially separated from my humerus. In the mirror I can see that my pec muscles are not attached properly.... can I ever go back to BJJ? (Blue belt with 1 stripe here)

I've noticed cossack squats, dead bugs, and kettlebell armbars are great for BJJ warmups. They're kind of "hidden" BJJ specific movements that my students don't notice right off but they reap great benefits.

How would you tape this if it was the first big toe joint sprained? I'm referring to the big toe PIP joint. Mine is sprained between the proximal and distal phalanges. I landed wrong with the toe curled under. I'm hoping someone looks at comments this far back, bc there is no info on KZbin with methods to manage the sprain I have and it's so painful.

You are squatting way too low for the movement that’s why you were losing power . Widen your stance and explode from the floor. Also 100 lbs I way too heave to start. Use a 50lb ball and develop your technique. 100 is for people with a good foundation and a good level of strength . It’s not about how much weight you do it’s about how explosively you clean and shoulder the ball. That’s the real benefit
