I like how when the first official full body photo of the joker came up and it showed he's wearing red suit everyone was like why is he not wearing a purple suit. Now in this trailer, the lighting in the last part of the trailer makes it so the color of his suit turns to purple. it's so awesome to see! can't wait to see this movie!

Joaquín Phoenix plays his frustration reactions so well in these short previews, it makes you feel what he feels, Oh man. He gets so deep inside into the character he's playing. This guy truly deserves an Oscar already!

Joaquin Phoenix deserves Two-Oscars for it. For his acting skills, adapting the character and for the most realistic comic book villain portrayal. Joker in real-world would totally be like that. Mark Hamil's voice can only do justice within the animated series/films. Heath Ledger was good but far away from the real-world but this one is PERFECTION. This version of Joker has the potential to be created within our society. I won't be surprised if there really are people close enough to Joker locked up in some prison or metal-hospital.

I truly believe Joaquin Phoenix's Joker is going to be the definitive Joker in cinema history , i think it will be better than Heath's although Heath's Joker was fantastic , i thought it was held back to an extent by the 12A rating the Dark Knight got , at with the R rating , it will allow Joaquin's Joker to go all out in terms of the disturbing psychological elements and violence of the Joker.

It looks like they’re going the route of what heaths joker said in the dark knight when he told Batman that madness is like gravity, and all it took was a little push. One bad day, or in this case, a series of bad days lol this looks like pure gold. He probably won’t portray the same joker “madness” everyone recognizes and loves, but I think it’ll be a really good character piece into what it takes to make someone snap like that.

I’m going to see it in the theatre today - for the third time. It’s a dark movie that pulls on my heartstrings. I’m a girl and I enjoy this movie more than my boyfriend. No, it doesn’t make me want to kill anyone or condone killing; it makes me understand moreso that everyone needs kindness in their life. Joaquin is just amazing - I would have never thought to cast him as Joker.

I think I understand what you mean... You think people are hype only for the comic book character the Joker and not for the drama or cinematography itself? I would say I would agree. The story is the most important part of the movie. Matching the cinematography with the story is the golden ticket to having a great movie, and based on the trailer, (in my opinion), this looks like it might have nailed both. Your thoughts?
