Pitch is not sport-specific. Same as 'field' in the U.S. For the U.S. some uses are: Baseball field; football field; soccer field; polo field. For the U.K. some uses are: football pitch [soccer to me]; cricket pitch; rugby pitch; polo pitch. Unclear on what the playing area for the wonderfully bonkers International Pillow Fight Day is called, though. [Went to the last one held in Los Angeles about a decade ago. Sooo fun. Boo to the city for not allowing it anymore. Must travel to other, much more fun cities for it, I guess.]

I used to serve him as a waiter all the time and I can confirm that he was always super nice and down to earth, to the point that I didn't even knew him prior to that so when I was told by a colleague he was a famous guy I couldn't believe it. Just a very normal and nice man.
