The new animation plays only when you are on a 50/50 and you are about to lose but that "radiance" thing has a chance to trigger and make it a guarantee. So it's more like a mini boost to the rates . Otherwise if you already have a guaranteed then the normal animation plays

Since some people are confused on the radiance wish thingy, as a viewer/programmer I assume what the mechanic is that if you lose the 50/50 instead of generating a code for random 5-star (nonlimited), it then goes to another function to try the 50/50 again, if you fail u get a randomo standard. If not then you get the effect, where you win its guaranteed the promo character. Basically just a second chance of 50/50 after the first 50/50 request failed in the pull by randomizer. With no other info the assumption is that the first 50/50 draw that you lose is you get 1 more chance of that 'lost' 50/50 go thru another 50/50 randomizer. At the end of the day we all get basically another chance at our 50/50s that doesn't affect the normal probabilities but gives us a random extra chance on those pulls if the matrix(computer overlords) give us.

I thought that it is more simple that all the algorithm is the same except that if you win the first 50/50, with this effect triggered, you are guaranteed Banner character instead of possible Standard character. In a sense you are more likely to get the Banner character at your first 50 pulls.

From what I understood, I think it's more than likely just gonna temporarily increase probability. Like instead of 50/50, if you get the radiance thing, you get like 75/25 in favor of the banner character or something like that. Hence why they said it wouldn't show up or affect guaranteed 5 star.

They've released some notes regarding this that you can find on the official twitter or other social media accounts. They say the overall chance of getting a limited 5 star is now 55% instead of 50%. It might not seem like much, but we'll definitely notice the difference over time.

Then it should be a 50/50, and if you lose there is a 1/10 chance of it recovering and giving you the rateup. Adding it up and you get 55% chance for the rate up

Sorry but if the element of the characters correspond to their tribe (wich seems very likely from what we've seen) then there is a cryo tribe as 2 of the characters that were teased (the lady with the bicorn and the pink haired girl) are cryo, we also know there is an electro one (the girl from the teyvat trailer) so the question is more like is the 6th tribe anemo or pyro and if that’s the case then it’s probably anemo with pyro being represented by the archon Also unless oboron is from kinich's tribe, wich he doesn’t look like, he looks anemo not pyro or any other element

If you were paying attention, you actually noticed that they already revealed other three tribes' names when they were talking about Iansan, Citlali and Chasca. The names for those tribes are *"Collective of Plenty"* (Iansan) *"Masters of the Night-Wind"* (Citlali) and *"Flower-Feather Clan"* (Chasca). Because these characters are Electro, Cryo and Anemo respectively, we can assume that tribes also represent that element because Mualani, Kinich and Kachina do. (And for anyone wondering about Xilonen, she belongs to same tribe as Kachina). It also make sense that Pyro is left out because of characters' connection to Pyro element other ways.
