Keep in mind that the state of your hair reflects the state of your body. So if your unhealthy on the inside, it'll most likely reflect onto your hair health. Try drinking lots of water daily, and exercise as often as possible.

Just here to help you, but 1.) Dont wash your hair everyday, shampoo strips your hairs natural oils and makes it dry. 2.) Water, oil and conditioner are your BEST FRIENDS!!! Use water everyday, and conditioner and oil every other day. 3) Sleep with a satin or polyester scarf or anything like that. 4) Dont overcomb your hair, finger detangle instead. P.S. I had the same problem, my hair couldnt get past an inch in a year. I then cut it all off and its healthy now and is getting long! Hope this works for you.

Hey there, I just uploaded a new video regarding some highlighted tips of transitioning (big chop) back to natural. My advice is, to never regret your decision. Every choice comes with patience :-) I can't give you an exact amount of time when your hair will grow back, but I can say the average growth rate is .5 inches a year. Track how much growth you are seeing with a measure tape as well as pictures so you can look back on your journey.

@Naturally_Izzy

Hi, That depends on if your hair needs a wash. For instance, I now wash my hair every two weeks. But I would say, if your hair is experiencing build up, or protein overload, then it is time for a wash. :-)

There could be some factors that are contributing to the slow growth. It could be genetics, products, stress, etc. Take the time out and determine what is causing the issue. It may take some time recalling the exact issue, but once you figure out the main answer, then you can tackle on how to fix it.

Hi Wanda!! Thanks for subscribing! With starting a new journey, your going to learn a lot about your hair :-) First give your hair a good assessment... Hello, and thanks for your video! I have 3C type hair and i usually use coconut oil and a leave in conditioner for my regiment. How do i use an essential oil by itself? or should it always be mixed with a conditioner and coconut oil? Also , should it be applied on the scalp as well or just the hair? I appreciate your help with this
@Naturally_Izzy
@Naturally_Izzy 8 жыл бұрын
Your essential oils should be mixed with a carrier oil. You can add a few drops of your essential oils to your carrier oil (making sure that the carrier oil has more of an amount). The essential oil is extremely potent and can cause skin irritation when applied by itself. You can add a few drops to your coconut oil mixed with your daily leave in. You can also apply it to your conditioner. Make sure its a conditioner that you use on the days that you are looking for moisture after cleansing your hair. A cleansing shampoo is meant to remove product build up. If you are using a moisturizing shampoo (sulfate-free) and than apply your conditioner with the essential oil mix, you are creating product build up. The essential oil should be applied to your scalp ( depends on the type of oil as well as properties as each oil has different benefits). I hope I answered your question :-)

Have you asses your problem? You stated that it is bald... Is it do to alopecia? Genetics? Stress? Change of diet? These are the questions that you have to ask yourself first. And then you can go on to the next step which is tackling the problem.

It sounds like it could be genetics. Try stimulate products like shampoos that consist of oils that help circulate the blood (ie, peppermint oil, lavender oil, ect.) Make sure you use the product for a full 1-2 months to see if it actually works. If you experience shedding between that time stop the use of the product immediately. Create a journal to see what works, what you may be allergic to, and any changes in your diet or life. This will help with process elimination as well as shopping for the right product. You never want to shop for a product that you "think" or "remember" works for you. Rather shop for something that you know for sure is your staple.

@Naturally_Izzy
@Naturally_Izzy 8 жыл бұрын
Hey, I would say you would need to wash your hair on a regimen. If you skip wash days that's ok. Just make sure that you clarify once a month with a non stripping shampoo to remove product build up. During your wash days, use a moisturizing shampoo to help keep your strands moisturized and supple. I really don't believe in " its how many times you shampoo your hair", I believe in, a proper regimen that works for you. Because you aren't washing your hair often, your hair is prone to product build up. This can cause suffocation with your pores, allowing a possible slow growth rate.

I wash my hair once a week. If I skip a wash day, I make sure to keep my hair in one style so I don't feel the need to apply gel or other products that will add to my already product build up. I also use a clarifying shampoo like Kinky Curly Shampoo, if I skip a day.

@Naturally_Izzy
@Naturally_Izzy 7 жыл бұрын
You're welcome ;-) As for damaging... It depends on the ingredients. If there are harsh chemicals (ingredients) that are not suitable for your particular hair type, it can cause drying which could lead to breakage if using the product on a continuous basis. So it is best to have a staple

What is best growth product cause I went natural going on 6 months with no luck
@Naturally_Izzy
@Naturally_Izzy 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Ashley! It all depends on what you're looking for. Do you need to add moisture back in? Do you need a protein treatment? Are you looking to solve dry scalp? Scalp irritation? I would advice having a great regimen first and then try natural remedies. We have to start with our regimen first and then work our way up. Sometimes looking for a growth product will still have the hair weak and not really solve an underlying problem that causes either slow growth, breakage, shedding, lack of moisture, lack of protein, etc. These all can slow the growth rate of hair. For instance, even if your hair is growing, there could be a possibility of breakage, thus not really seeing/getting the full potential of your hair journey. I would also suggest watching my videos on top 5 essential oils. (essential oils are known to help increase hair growth through its beneficial properties it carries)

The average hair growth is 1/4 -1/2 inches a month. I don't know if you are experiencing shedding, breakage, alopecia, or if it's hereditary. So that is something you would have to dig into and create a regimen that will work for you and cater to what you need.

Thank you so much for these tips! About How long should braids be worn? Like the cornrows braids with your actual real hair?
@Naturally_Izzy
@Naturally_Izzy 8 жыл бұрын
Box braids can be worn for about 2 months. Cornrows can be worn about a month. Each style should be kept up with proper maintenance while in the protective style. Make sure you are moisturizing your scalp with a great product when your hair needs it. :-)

Natually Izzy Alrighty! Thanks so much. I was wondering about cornrows bc that's what I usually wear my hair in and I definitely do not want my hair to be thin from leaving them in too long. Thank you bunches! Xoxo*

No problem. Do make sure that you give your hair a break and allow your scalp and strands to breath. Maybe natural for a week and then go back to protective styling.

I want to know about the grow your hair out over night test can u do it every night
@Naturally_Izzy
@Naturally_Izzy 8 жыл бұрын
I was thinking about posting a video about that to be honest. My truthful opinion.... There is no product or "hair magic" that will speed up your hair growth rate THAT fast. People are seeing 1 inch over night, however when they do their first initial measurements their hair isn't wet or stretched out. And then their second measurement after the "experiment" their hair is wet. In addition, the position of the head for the initial and after measurements are always different. When one measures their hair, it can be a struggle to get accurate results when the same strand isn't used, or their head is position differently. If you look to the side and measure your nape in comparison to looking straight you gain an inch of hair. I would also like to add, that these ingredients that are used are great ingredients in general to grow hair, however, on an overnight basis expecting something is quite unrealistic. That fast of a growth rate should cause headaches, and soreness as its unnatural for the hair follicles to produce that quick of a strand. It doesn't allow the follicles to adjust to something new. I do believe in the inversion method, because increase blood flow to the scalp allows the follicles to open up. And this method is done for 7 days. However the overnight hair growth challenge is just a fad or a failed "experiment".

I've never used Wild Growth Oil, but looking at the ingredients I feel that it is a good product. It has Inositol and Choline which, when worked together are a great contributing factor for healthy hair strands. However, I can't give you a review because I opt for natural oils.

Wish I'd seen this video earlier. I put my essential oils in an aloe vera/water mix. Do you think it's the glycerine or leave in that's making it lumpy? Aloe has to be refrigerated of course. I am not a fan of weaves, but I'm desperate for short, 4c style clip in bangs to enhance my very weak hairline. Everything I see is too long by about 10 inches. Any thoughts?
@Naturally_Izzy
@Naturally_Izzy 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching :-D It could be the leave in ( as some leave in's are thicker) :-) Also, I wouldn't suggest clip in bangs or any clip ins as they will cause tension to your hair and scalp. That would be added stress as you stated you are experiencing a weak hairline. Try doing daily/nightly scalp massages and let your hairline breathe :-) You can find alternatives that mimics the 4c texture. adding braiding hair to a bun and leaving a piece out that resembles a bang style,etc. I hope I helped.

Try some other additions to the water to help add moisture. Maybe a great leave-in conditioner. Also stay away from picking your hair too much. That can cause snags, tags, and breakage. If you are looking for volume/afro/length, do a braidout (braid your hair and take it out after it fully dries)... Finger comb it in the style you like.
