Let's be careful with being influenced by Christian 'influencers' we should measure what they're saying with the word of God, otherwise most of us will fall. Do not be afraid to worship God and being termed as 'too spiritual.' Lifting of hands and laying prostrate are just a basic thing for Christians to do while worshipping their maker. Christians read you Bible and let the Holy Spirit guide you. Do not conform to the standards of the world why?? coz you're the light and salt of the world. Let this stick.

I beg to respectfully differ. There is also dramatics that are usually applied especially with some denominations that have nothing to do with God and spirituality. This is why we have all these charlatans masquerading as pastors and bishops all over. My experience with these demon-casting, spiritually expressive Christians is that they are also very poor of character. We need to be very discerning of these so-called spiritual people. Also, the Bible also says that not everyone who calls God God will enter the kingdom of heaven.

From what I am learning in Christ, dating is for marriage and not to figure out what we like and do not like. We are responsible for ourselves and that includes knowing ourselves and what we like and don't. I believe we have the power to do that with Christ. As Christians we are meant to lean on Christ for an identity in Him, we should focus on Him to give us direction. It can get dangerous to date just to figure out what we prefer in a partner because in a way that is using other people and their hearts too; This goes without saying that even during that dating time, we are more likely to fall into sexual sin with the people we will date during that process. But what will we have to show for it other than soul ties? That whole topic is hard because we are imperfect humans and some things are easier said that done. We must not rely solely on our own understanding because that can be deceitful at times. We can do anything through Him and yes it is possible!

I watched this episode today and had very similar opinions because when we become Christians we are supposed to be more like Christ so it's not about what we like or figuring out who we are it's more like leaning on what our creator says we are, what does Jesus say I am like our identity should be found in Christ literally and marriage is a covenant so it's not supposed to be personally on any level.

At the end of the day, I think it's important to be honest with self, without hiding under the umbrella of 'faith'. To ask self "Does this lead me closer to Christ? does it glorify Christ? and does it build up and edify my brothers and sisters in the faith' Ukiwa na shati ya white, ukae kwa vumbi usishtuke shati ikiwa chafu jioni. It genuinely bothers me that Ben and Shiru speak of sth like Blankets and wine like that. Jina wine shenanigans aside. I mean surely what relationship does light have with darkness? Like even the music and mannerisms there, do they glorify God? Are people there challenged to embrace the Gospel, by which if they don't, they will burn in hell eternally. Yes seminars are overrated, go on dates. Play games with friends. Go for road trips together. Go for plays, go for art events. We are saved at a cost and that put the Son of God on the cross. Are you guys even allowing yourselves to be challenged by the gospel? Even in arguing. Where is the place of the Gospel? Where is the place of our minds being renewed to show Christ? (Rom 12:1-2) I mean lets be honest with ourselves truly. If we're really in the faith and all in or claim to be while forming friendship with the world. cc James 4:4 Lastly, it's interesting the Bible says when we accept Christ, we become adopted into the family of God. That once we were children of disobedience and wrath. To mean, ONLY when we accept Christ do we experience forgiveness of sin and adoption into the family of God. Only then do we move from darkness to light. Its a hard message but we're not all God's favorites. Rather, we are not all children of God. Otherwise, the word adoption wouldn't be used. Let him who has ears hear. Does the Lord still love us all? Absolutely! Infinitely more than we can imagine. Did Christ die for all of us? Yes. But only those who believe in Him will not die but live. And the truth is, if we continue lying to people that they are many ways to God and they're okay when the Bible clearly says "No one comes to the Father apart from Jesus Christ. The wages of sin is death" we'll be gravely irresponsible honestly. And yes, self righteousness is a sin. I'm talking about speaking and living the truth which should make one bear more of the fruit of the spirit. Vs self righteousness which so ugly. , Faith is a beautiful gift.

It means He sees no problem with His wife taking alcohol..the cost of disciplineship is self denial. We must subject ourselves to be guided by the scriptures and scriptures alone. There is spirituality and then there’s religion. What some people are is over-religious even when it’s uncalled. Ben, Wanjiru and Sharon already explained it at the beginning of the discussion: using religion to manipulate and to avoid responsibility/accountability

😅I feel like much more key issues could have been discussed. My opinion on 'too spiritual’ is that we all have different levels that we are at spiritually and our surrender to God is also totally different . And I also feel like when you understand that Without God you are nothing then our fellowship with Him becomes more intimate😊. And there’s nothing better than being in His presence so why not give your all . He is such a Good Father 😊 so there’s no problem guys with being termed 'too spiritual’

The fruit of the spirit is love joy peace patience kindness faithfulness humility and self control. That is proof that a Christian is actually led by the Spirit of God. The bible says that we should not conform to the patterns of the world but rather be transformed by the RENEWAL of our minds. Definitely its God who transforms us no by our strength or might but through His Spirit. Personally i don't get why people are offended by them saying they prefer not dating an overspiritual person juu some of us christians we overspiritualize everything and some of the things are not even in the bible. Yet God has made things less complicated than we make them.

When we know how much God forgave us even when we didn’t deserve it, then forgiveness becomes an achievable end goal, since we’re a New Creation In Christ. It may not come right away, but eventually will as we delve into the word of God and receive His love & right Knowledge. Looking forward to the next one ❤❤

I like this conversation. My 2 cents: On church and divorce, different churches have different ways of dealing with divorce. Like in our church, when it comes to violence, divorce is allowed. Another thing it’s important to use all avenues available to reconcile before jumping on the divorce bandwagon. I know a church that believes that before remarrying, there are a lot of questions that need to be answered before being remarried. Or there are churches that have divorce care which is great. At the end of the day, it’s important to understand ultimate reality (ie, understanding that whatever happens here physically has its origins spiritually). And the need to understand, what would Jesus do in this situation. So that means we need to tarry in God’s presence to enable us know what He says, and ask the Holy Spirit to guide in everything.

I watched the whole podcast and i loved it. Except the part where you called the moves of the Holy Spirit theatrics. When the Spirit moves or when the power of the Holy Spirit comes upon you. You can't control yourself. If you are Christians and you have experienced it you know what i mean. You can cry, you can shout, you can even start laughing or even running. Thats being drunk with the Spirit. I won't lie some people fake it but you can't be adressing the moves of the Spirit as theatrics. Actually that is one of the sin that the scripture says you can never be forgiven of. Sinning against the Holy Spirit. And how do you sin against the Holy Spirit? By calling his moves fake or theatrics as you did. I love watching your videos actually this is the only podcast i watch.

We, humans also speak from a point of preference in that we would not fancy people who are doing those 'theatrics' because maybe it is embarrassing for us. @markmaina7884 Жыл бұрын
@@wangarikariuki6522 @wangarikariuki6522 The Holy Spirit is a person and has His own desires or 'cravings' that he would like us to embody as Believers. He doesn't say don't interact with unbelievers but he says love them as you continue to walk in the path of light. Is it easy? No! but His precious GRACE is sufficient to live above sin. For through Christ we have been set free from the law of sin and death as Romans 8: 2 says. If we who His love has been poured unto our hearts to don't live in Holiness away from what corrupts. How can we be the burning light that magnifies Jesus if we still do what the unbelievers do? We still crave for what the world gives while proclaiming that we have received everything from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It's true;Jesus walked with the tax collectors who were seen as sellouts at that time. Is there any scripture against walking with tax collectors? Even John the Baptist told the tax collectors do not collect more than you are required. He didn't say quit your jobs! That's an extra Biblical teaching which came in the 430yrs of silence from God. Jesus never went against His own Word. It is a sin to go to places that His name is Not magnified. Oohh now you'll ask if we should work? Doesn't the Bible recommend the same? We live in a secular world but the choice of free will God has graced us with is to choose between what is carnal( flesh) and the spiritual ( life). It's a battle for every believer but the Bible tell us we have overcome so the only adjustment is to renew our minds to be able to behold the beauty of whom we have received (The Messiah, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, The Alpha and Omega). Should we grieve Him whom we have pledged to Honor with our bodies and souls? Then why would the Temple of God being that Christ lives in us be taken to a place where there is debauchery? There's no one holier than Thou as you've said but same Bible says in 1 Pet 1:16 Be holy, because Iam Holy. Our actions show clearly which spirit we worship if it the Holy Spirit or the enemy! Man was created to worship God in our actions with simply how we live our lives according to the word of God. Let be the burning light. Don't dim it to fit in to the world's standard of what a believer in Jesus should be. As the Bible says I Cor 5:20: we are therefore Christ ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. The appeal is to be lead by the His precious Holy Spirit as we magnify Christ and exalt His word.

Wanjiru and Ben, all marriages that people bear a marriage certificate given by government, are contractual. If you have a marriage certificate from the GoK of Kenya, then you have a contract with each other, which is governed by the Marriage Act and other rulings of the Judiciary regarding marriage. If you only went to church and exchanged vows but you did not legalise your marriage, then you have no legal contract. But as we all know it, most Kenyan couples have marriages registered legally so they have a contract. This is something most Christians do not know, since they are usually given the certificate by the Priest/Pastor in Church. I am a Christian so I would prefer to have no legal contract, but if we must have it, then I would like to draw my own contract with my future husband, instead of my marriage being governed by the general marriage law/contract.

God is already mighty enough, beyond our limited imagination, He doesn’t even need all the dramatics. When Elijah went up to the mountain to seek God, he looked for him in the fires, earthquakes, winds and whatnot but God finally appeared to him calmly. So really, let’s stop with the dramatics

Also, where do you get time to vet if someone is doing "theatrics" whilst y'all are worshipping? At my father's house I get to be undignified (refer to dunsin oyekan). Church holds thieves, liars, fornicators, adulterers, murderers bc they have come for salvation. Not perfect people.
