Hi Claire, so grateful for a 3hr segment to watch while I'm stuck on the couch with a broken ankle! I see I'm not the only one who enjoys The Rug updates!😂 I saw your Biophytum sensitivum before you talked about it! My first one lasted 2 years in a terrarium, and I think I have some seedlings popping up, my second one is enjoying my new terrarium. I never cut the flowers off. Apparently the when the seed pods open the seeds explode out. You could put it in its own little terrarium so it self sows and you'll have lots of them all the time. When you picked up your unknown fuzzy plant (41:07) I thought it was a baby el choco because it looks exactly like my baby plant. I'm so chuffed about you P. Hope! Loved seeing Ross's pots around, it's great to have something to share together. Thank you for showing us your beautiful plants, and yes please to part 2

Desert rose! I’ve only had it since last year but it’s a favourite. You can tell when it needs watering by the trunk - if it’s a little squishy you can water, leave it alone if it’s nice and firm. That way you can train the caudex to collect more water and grow wider as a result. If you want yours to branch out, cut it few nodes above the caudex - I was super scared to do that but mine sprouted FOUR branches in return!

What an amazing collection. How wonderful to be surrounded by plants, above, below and in cabinets. A great way to live!!! I find all my prayer plants are magnets for pests. I am transferring them all into Leca and it doesn't stop the pests. However, it's easier to manage as I can blast spray the leaves with water everyday, without worrying about overwatering soil. Hi Claire! I don't know if someone has commented on your Monkey Jar plant yet, so I wanted to pipe in in case it could help you. My understanding is that basically, if your plant receives nutrients from the water you're giving it (tap water), it won't put energy into making pitchers because it is already getting what it needs. I imagine it will bounce back as soon as you start giving it rain water or distilled water again. Also, the pitchers do just regularly die off over time, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Thank you for another awesome video!! 🥬
