Dear kathryn and friends. sorry to miss you in Tavistock - I am in S Devon. By the time I heard, tickets all gone! I hope it went well. Question, can you help, or can you pass the message to your Dad? Song for the N Tyne. I sing it at our local clubs sometimes though I have not Hannah's ability or range. But I can't get the lyrics to the verse about the soldiers? it's not clear, and nowhere on our beloved tinternet can I find them. Can you or Mike help?

Hi Helen, the lyrics are in the sleeve notes on the album "Northumbrian Voices". Please email info@kathryntickell.com and we will help!

“But the sound of your waters fast scouring the stone, it was alien to soldiers from France & from Rome. But to wild northern Reivers in faraway time, home was Redesdale & Liddesdale & bonny North Tyne”

@@TheKathrynTickell bless you, thanks that's it. Rievers! Or is it Reivers. I know of them (and what stories there are) but I couldnt catch it in the words. Thanks again now I can sing it with more conviction, thanks Mike for the song.
