The big disadvantage Nishimura has is there has been a lazer focus on his kendo. All his opponents have a ton of material to study in preparation to fight him.

The reason to "celebrate" a point, is because referees outside of Japan are often so bad they need help to do theyr job. Celebrating is communication with the refrees when verbal communication is forbidden. Its obvious with the level of those referees, he doesnt need to celebrate a point to actually get it.
