Hi Pete. I've been watching you for a few years now, and only recently found out my dream did come true and I got to play you on 1/12/24! Even after getting laid off and several deaths in the family, you have always been able to bring me joy, and it made me giddy to know you called me "Homius Maximus". 8:00 not going for the magenta kill into red into a na hold (giving up Africa ofc is interesting) Though you did say you didn't notice your 4, not sure if black would've broken either bonus but they seemed good and likely would've taken Africa to have a stable board. Alas the sit in Africa play is also a plan.

I think that the downgrade to Australia was unnecessary. I think that you were seeing ghosts in the lack of an alliance.

You could have played for first potentially. When you took Australia you could have guardeda small stack on Siam and bigger stack on North Africa. I don't think purple would have broken you and you potentially could have had a +5 keeping up with Purple.

Break or no break he has more than enough troops to win unless he totally messes up so I'm playing to small chance he messes up and doesn't target me. If your opponent has you 100% dead if they hit you, don't give them more reasons to hit you.

hey Pete. when you kill black, you set for a 6 trade. but if you killed him first then set twice, black could have given you "good" cards that could have saved you from having to do a shoddy cavalry trade. is there anything wrong with my analysis? i get that it's quite a bit of micro for a small chance of 4 extra troops but i don't see any downside. (in this game it wouldn't even have worked because black had quite the few cavalry cards too!)

You're spot on but there's also the upside of getting the additional time. In a vacuum what your suggesting is objectively superior.

Guarding against the bot usually results in what we saw mutual stacking until the tension breaks and the bot takes a roll. Better to have the bot roll an empty territory if its gonna roll you anyways. What black should have done is either turtle up into a single roaming stack the bot wouldn't hit, ally with me and or purple to coordinate to kill the bot, or outright kill it.

Great game as always, you played the game with the cards that you were dealt, it's always unfortunate when one or more people don't ready up at the start of the game and you end up with unrequested bots. Just wondering why you decided to play with automated bots and not the neutrals to stop the scumbag botting.

Some guys just get greedy. I was allied up with the sa player as africa. Sa takes na, with my help which I did by smacking his little stacks in asia then doesn't give sa and fortified to Brazil. Europe breaks his na Greenland stack then I break Brazil and stand on it. He quits then by slamming aus. He could have had na but got greedy

You can also have the Speed Advantage when you use your Phone. Disable "Animations" and then you have it
