You can move the fry to a smaller tank and add some baby mollies or guppies. The fry will learn how to eat by themself by watching these other fish do it. when they are big enough, just remove the livebearers. Thats how i breed big cichlids like Texas and flowerhorn and get a good rate of survivability. Greetings from Colombia, south America.

I was having a tough time, i had to put down my 6 year old flowerhorn because he was sick. Them my blood parrots died because I screwed up something. I missed noticing how beautiful your flowerhorn is in previous videos. Watching their babies gave me some peace. I think the babies would turn out beautiful, I believe that's how kamfas are made. I really appreciated all the accuracy in this video, looking forward to the babies growing up, breeding video of next batch and video about nuchal hump.

Cant wait to see the grow outs. When i bred my flowerhorn with a female Trimac i used the base from a terracotta plant pot it was flat and had a lip around the edge. That worked perfectly. I ended up with 125-150 legitimate fry that grew to 1” before i donated to local FS.

From my previous experiences breeding flowerhorn and mixing them with texas and blood parrots out of a whole batch of fry you will probably get about 3-5 that are really really nice better than both parents then about 10-15 that are decent looking. The rest will just be kinda plain looking and be varying degrees of mixed between flowerhorn and blood parrot. Sometimes the ugly ones grow faster than the rest too and start eating them so its probably worth separating some of the smallest ones to try to give them a chance to grow out because the smaller ones sometimes have the best color later on.

Should be beautiful I think he parrot King Kong or just parrot fish is what the crossed to get the flower horn I always thought I heard thought the parrot had some convict cichlid in it and also the flower horn. They probably will be simslar to parrot and some flower horn.

I really enjoyed watching this. I have grown out a few King Kong Parrot Cichlids. They are referred to as the mutants in our house. I never thought the world of hybrid Cichlids was so interesting until I finally got the King Kongs.

The babies will be kamfa Potential for pearls but maybe not as much as dad. Because mom is King Kong parrot there is a chance some of them will fade and be Fader Kamfa. You’ll be surprised Joey some might have potential. The two tone on Dad and his Kok and pearls genetics are good.

If you're still pondering what to do with the fris, why not split them half with the parents and half in a nursery tank. Quite frankly, I would put them all in a nursery tank, especially with a potential new batch incoming,, but if you're still on the egde over it, don't put all your eggs in the same basket.

Off subject some here what do you thing years cured driftwood from a Amazon tank 120 gal leaving it and switching everything else into salt including sand overflow etc probably fish only. Huge piece but narrow OCEANIC Low boy tank 4 feet deep x wide aprox 2 feet deep. Will have cured coral rock work too.

Wonder what they will turn into in the future? I would wait a couple more weeks for them to go a little before thr parents breed again but if they start breeding I would remove the existing babies immediately, so they won't get eaten. I know it is exicting to see fry anytime. It means you set the conditions just right for them to breed.

Well, we have a mated pair now, so im not worried about them. Its easier to raise a swarm of fry than just a few! In a swarm, they find food together. Just a few... they go out on their own with lower success.
