A friend of mine just had a real bad time. You see, his life was shattered and he lost his mind. Blizzards can blow; the waves hit the shore, But the people recover and come back for more. Somehow the people fight back, even the future looks black.

Ray Davies was a rare force of songwriting nature that was able to adapt and progress throughout the entirety of the Kinks. I’ll always take the Kinks over the Beatles (but they’re tied with the stones 😂)

Let's see, I have probably 7-10 Kinks albums. Saw them in like 1976 at UCI, Schoolboys in Disgrace. Fabulous concert! How many Beatles albums do I have? 0. My husband just died suddenly, and I thought of this song - mostly the chorus. Definitely lifting my mood. Life does go on.
