Can you beat PAYDAY 2 as a PAYDAY: The Heist heister? Rules: You're only allowed to use PDTH Weapons (Car-4/AMCAR, Brenner, M203, Reinbeck, AK-7.62, Bernetti 9, Crosskill, Bronco.44, Locomotive 12g, Mark 11, Stryk, Gl40, Compact 5, +whatever i'm missing here.), Equipment (Doctor bags, Ammo Bags, Trip mines, Sentries), and Heisters (Dallas, Hoxton, Chains, and Wolf) You're only allowed to use the original 4 perk decks (so no rogue, since that's houston's) Must be played on mayhem/dw You are allowed to bring Crewmates but they follow the same rules as you You are only allowed to mod weapons so they look like their pdth counterparts. This means you're only allowed to use a holo-sight on the car-4, combat sight on the m203, solar sight on ak, etc. You are allowed to use boosts and speedpull mags are allowed since they replaced the PDTH team perk "Speed Reloaders" and if you really want to suffer, you can only get perks that mimic abilities/team perks (example: no Parkour aced since you couldn't run and reload in PDTH If you want, you can skip stealth heists, since you couldn't stealth in PDTH

I did something similar to that, but instead of the full game, I completed all of the non dlc classics with the first items you get in the game (being the amcar, b9s, and ammo bag [I know the ammo bag isn’t there from the start, but it felt right to do. It’s probably because I’m lvl 100 and seeing a build without equipment kinda hurts me inside. So yeah, new players, if you’re reading this, use equipment!])

Y'know, they could totally add a proper primary/secondary weapon chainsaw to this game. Just make it use Saw skills, make it do more damage or last longer in use than the regular saw, have it use pickupable fuel rather than replacement blades, and have the main downside be that it loses the normal saw's utility. This would really make up for how awful the melee weapon saw is and also would give people who missed out on the Scarface pack a usable chainsaw. Also can you imagine proccing overkill with a chainsaw and tearing through mobs of enemies?

Challenged modification/suggestion: Use the revolver I can’t remember the name of but it’s the one with the long reload time of 5.2 seconds. The answer as to why: Garbage Day. A simple reference to that one scene from Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2, which is a slasher movie from 1987. I’d link the video but I’m too lazy. Feel free to look up the clip, it’s like 10 seconds or something short like that. I chose the slow loader specifically since the reload time and clip size likely make you not want to rely on it too much, plus it makes it so you don’t have to use 2 saws. Edit 4/11/22: It’s the Peacemaker from the western pack. I came back here and figured I should go ahead and update this comment with the proper name. Edit 2, same morning: I’m a fucking idiot. Hey if you're interested in a unique challenge I posted the "Run & Burn" challenge on the Steam User Forums a few days ago. In short, you can only use every weapon once as you beat all maps in release order, solo on overkill (Or harder, if you prefer). If you run out of possible weapons you loop what you picked the first time around.

I know that I am years late, but I always thought the headless dozers not targeting you. If you didn't look at them was a really cool, intentional feature. I thought it was a reference to a child hiding under the bed sheets, because if they can't see the monster the monster won't attack them. It worked, but to find out that it was a glitch, and worse that it got patched, make safe House nightmare. Not as fun, at least for me.

Watching this gave me an Idea, feel free to use it "Can you beat PAYDAY 2 as Ash Williams?" Basically, run a Double Barrel Primary and Saw Secondary. Take the Lumberlight L2 Chainsaw as a Melee(Or the Great Sword cause "Army of Darkness") Ash is a low key Genius when it comes to Chemistry, so any Explosive in the Throwable slot would do, I'd recommend The TNT bundles though As for the Perk deck, well Stoic would makes sense seeing how Ash is a Bit of a Booze Hound, but Stoic is a bit OP, I good alternative would be like Muscle and it's health regen, seeing how ash can get back up after having the Living daylights knocked out of him
