Some of the hottest days I’ve experienced were visiting family in Missouri. The humidity makes it feel much hotter than the thermometer. Forest Park is great. Would have been a great day for the indoor museums.

Enjoyed as always an outing video. I thought the distribution on the lake was interesting: the three elders in the canoe together, the five middles on the paddleboat with dad (too bad no video of that), and the two babies on shore with mom. Good thing you were able to get Ben turned around. The birthday party sounds interesting.

My Mom used to hum all the time when working…often it was a one-note hum, but it permeated our home with cheerfulness. Sorry the day didn’t go as planned no tour at the chocolate factory and too hot to be outside! I don’t do well in the heat either! Hope your next Tuesday outing goes better! Yummy chocolate is a plus! I went to the St. Louis zoo on a hot day like that we didn’t last long hope to go back again and hope for cooler weather!

I’m so glad you all had fun! I remember pattle boating with my parents about 20 years ago and it was fun. It takes energy, but it’s fun. I wouldn’t want to do it in upper 90’s though.

I cannot believe the chocolate factory did not accommodate you and the children for a tour; they definitely lost one free marketing opportunity. Giving your family a private tour that day would have been so fun and informative for your YT community. Bad publicity for them, their loss…indeed, the weather was looking so hot ! You were all looking dehydrated, including the babies with red faces, and poor little Lydia who was dying of thirst at the end. Nothing better than staying home in the pool those crazy days….glad the day ended that way for you all !
