spoiler!!!!!! for anyone who sees this, there's a true ending that ends well for sophie as well. the real murderer was Samuel Williams (S.W.) who's room was room 504. i believe he was the one who wrote the angry letter in the safe at the end of the video around 3:01:25. i think there also was another piece of evidence of a newspaper article about a fire that killed 3 children and a woman, supposedly Samuel's wife and kids, and he threatened to kill the person who caused it, which was Hector Cruz, hence the letter. if you find it all and tell the detective, you can get the true ending edit: did a little more digging after this comment got so much attention because i didn't want to spread misinfo the newspaper clipping was on the back of the letter at 3:01:28, jay just didn't turn it around :( it would have went into a cutscene. the fire was samuel's house and he was the only survivor. i didn't really find how the fire happened, but from what i've found, hector was samuel's insurance agent, but samuel did not get any insurance money from everything he lost, so samuel was angry. i think that's why in the letter he said "I hope you and the All-American burn in hell!", which was referring to the company hector worked for. in the true ending, samuel gets arrested, and if you don't get arrested for obstruction of justice, the hotel jerk offers you the new position of governess of the hotel (you have to get linda fired), and of course, the couple and paul don't get arrested either. also, if you chose andrew at the beginning, he shares at the end when he's discussing the events and evidence with sophie like beth does, that he once lost motivation in life and ended up in a mental heath place where they helped him get back on his feet, so andrew defends and relates to paul like beth related to the couple. sophie then shares that her mom's illness isn't physical and that she had felt too ashamed to share that info with others before. andrew also gets fired, but he opens a bookstore and happily ends up with sophie if you decide to romance him found with Bellanyxxia's video walkthrough of This Bed We Made, if you want to see the cutscene slideshow at the end where only samuel gets arrested

For the ending of the game the killer was *spoilers* Samuel Williams, on the back of the note in the safe that you took a while to open, it talked about a house fire, and that Samuel Williams escaped, im just saying this on the top of my head but i do know that its true, i have no idea how you didnt think about flipping that note since there was a second paper showing up a little on the bottom but whatever 😅

Spoiler: So apparently there is a true “best” ending. S.W stands for Samuel Williams who stays in the first room Sophie cleans I think 504? There’s not much about him through out the game until the end mostly. In One of the puzzles that open the safe where the gun and newspaper is. On the newspaper paper it’s says something about 3 kids and a women being killed in a fire. The women was samuel Williams wife and the kids were his. There’s also a note in which the person who wrote or says they’ll kill who was responsible for It. The note being written by S.W and the person responsible for the fire being Mr cruz. You have to Find that clue to be able to tell the police about it
