In these troubling times, even for someone who doesn't do craft yet or gothic (leaning more towards fantasy and magepunk myself... still figuring out how exactly) these guides and tutorials are a godssend. It's got the relaxing and wholesome elements of a Bob Ross video mixed with the fun and weirdness you'd find on the Addams Family.

@RaichuWizDom4 жыл бұрын
@@sabrinamarquez1870 I'm not even sure I'm using the term right, actually. Basically the magic-inspired elements of a fantasy setting without it looking old and tribal. @Jacqui G I've mostly been contemplating what sort of paintings or posters I might include, maybe a dragon statue here or there or ornamental dagger. But yeah, patterns on the walls? Something vaguely glyph-like, perhaps? Definitely nothing with runes, though; too blocky for me. I've heard jokingly that art nouveau is elvish and art deco is dwarvish, maybe that's something I can look into. But that's all for after the lockdown, moving out, seeing what I have to work with.

@@anneargo-davies692 I do find that with a few things. 😃 I have this thing where I look at my past hardship and think 'Well that was bad but most people spread out thier pain. Maybe mine was just jam-packed into the start of my life and soon I'll be due a lot more happiness." And I look at things in ways that give me hope. I can walk, but often I use a wheelchair/cane as I'm too dizzy/fatigued to move much on certian days. When I was fitted for my chair I actually felt happy it could get me outside more than without one. So I was unexpectedly happy about the freedom a chair would bring. I really hope we all find more things that make us happy and turn something sad into something creative. 😃

✨This one actually made me want to make this in purple. And I love the silver spiderwebs and skulls. I don't want to use X-rays as they look cool on yours, but for me I'd use some delicate or dreamy patterns maybe of swirling stars or maybe something else natural + magical. I looove your wallpaper though and the tab to change the background motif is so ingenious yet simple. Great design, creativity and message about 'failure' being transformed into chance creation. Nature does that too. You really make DIY seem so much more accessible and doable. It's intersting to both watch you and also think about how these concepts could be applied to making one's home more homey.

I'm an X-Ray tech, so I can speak to the validity of making sure that no patient information (like, their name) appears on the x-rays that you would want to use. They fall under the flag of HIPAA laws. But the real problem, in recent years, is this: where can you find old-school x-rays ON FILM, such as was used for this project? Almost every hospital and clinic where I live takes digital x-rays that are uploaded to computers (called PACS systems). Old-school FILM x-rays have gone the way of the 8-track, so they're gonna be hard to find. Kinda like trying to find 35 mm film for a Kodak camera these days. With all that said, this is an absolutely killer project !! Well done ! .
