Dear Lallantop, there are so many wrong factuals told by professor. I am also faculty and staying in USA more than 15 years. Facts are: 1. Illegal immigrants can get the health benefits (there are many benefits specifically for neonates, young children’s and pregnant women: I witness those). There is program WIC which provides foods to those without any documents. 2. US govenment, specifically New York or century state provide shelter (sometimes hotels to illegal immigrate) they spends millions of dollars it. 3. Century state either provide temporary job or provide credit card to them for weekly expenses. If you need more details you can search or I can provide that. Please don’t mislead India ppl.

I dont know where you live, but you might want to visit Gujarat for a few days before commenting. Gujaratis have been immigrating to US since Morarji Desai's time. Gujarat is one of the safest and best run states in India. China is extremely wealthy, but many Chinese still migrate. So the two dont directly correlate.
