Gaurav Sawant is such a passionate raconteur..Amazing recollection of events. For me personally, it was poignant too. Capt Vikram Batra was my next door neighbour in the hostel while we were at college in Chandigarh. He had a twin brother too,who couldn't make it through the SSB. I hadn't met him since college in '1992-'93,and I next saw him on TV, speaking to Barkha Dutt in that famous' yeh dil manage more' interview after the capture of 5140,and before the assault on Tiger Hill top. It was a goosebumps moment..The joy at his success soon turned into sadness, as he lost his life while trying to rescue a comrade. But the mission was completed..
