first of all, doctors availability is too less in india ( around 1: 1800 ) in which psychiatrists numbers are 0.75 per 1 lac ppl. now you can imagine the long-queues of mental health patients in govt hospitals. private psychiatrists fees is too much for a common man as well ( Rs. 2000 onwrds per session + tests and medicines of thousands rupees ). these are d main reasons behind such huge increase.

Similar incident happened in Aurangabad District of Maharashtra on 15th Aug, 2022, where a married man cut his lover into pieces.
