Those who killed those pundits or forced them to leave Kashmir were misguided & had never understood Islam from its core. I as a Hindu Brahman never ever in my life liked a Kashmiri Pandit. I have personally seen their behavior with each people they did in Srinagar in the years of 1985 when i used visit where my father was posted. Very Rude Arrogantly Inhuman in all respect be it for other Hindus or Poor Local Muslim Residents of Kashmir. Seeing such bad behaviors of them I as Hindu Brahman had taken a pledge that come whatever I will never Support or mix with one community in my whole this life of mine till my end . HINDU KASHMIRI PANDITS During late 1989 -1993 did start to see Migrant / Refugees Hindu Pandit Kashmiri Boys, Men, Women Children and girls knocking at our doors begging for Money and food. Remembering the Pledge that i had taken made sure I personally see to it that they these Hindu Kashmiri Pandits were kicked out from door steps of my house / colony entry gates where i stayed in big apartments / when they used to say 2 Roti de do Bhuk lagi hai. I used to prefer giver 02 stale roti to a cow or a street dog in front of their eyes to it but not to them Kashmiri Pandit Ladies used to fall in my feet saying Hindu brahma no Hindu Kashmiri Pandit KO Bacho ham mar rahe hai Bachhe marrahe hai (OH HINDU BRAHMANS FROM OTHER REGIONS OF INDIA SMALL SMALL LITTLE BABIES, WE KASHMIRI HINDU LADIES, GIRLS, BOYS, MEN ARE HUNGRY PLEASE GIVE US ONE ROTI FROM YOUR BLESSED PLATES TO US WE ARE HUNGRY) What did I do as a Hindu Brahman towards them I GAVE AWAY ALL THE LEFT OVER ROTI TO A DOG, COW AND THE REST THREW IT IN THE DIRTY NALA BUT I PERSONALLY SAW TO IT THEY DO NOT GET IT AND REMAIN HUNGRYJUST NOT BOTHERED I made sure they did not receive even 00.10 Paisa, 0.25 Paisa, Rs 1.00 Rupee bhi nahi diya Aur darwaze se hi Laat mar ke unhe bhaga Diya. Unfortunately they used to revisit our houses again begging for and this time threw them out of our colony slapping them with my own chappals right out of the gate. Indian Air Force Residential colony se bhar nikal deta mai unko 1989-1993 ke dauran But kya karee Kashmiri Pandit hai Yeh Log Bhikari hi hota hai inta jute chappal khane bad daubara mere ghar ke darwaze ke same fhir se apna hath Faial aye khade ho jate the The Name of our colony where I lived in those years still exists and I too out there till date. I mean what do I even say. Isn't this targetted killings? We don't use any word derogatory to hindus apart from maybe sanghis ig but that doesn't denigrate Hinduism then why about Islam? Saurabh ji. One thing which you missed is what happened after Forooq Abdullah was removed till arrival of Jagmohan in Srinagar. This period of 1-2 months saw Kashmir almost ceeded from India. Rubaiya Syed episode happened during this period. I was wittness to the ocean of people in Bohri Kadal where terrorists had to be released in exchange for Mufti Syed's daughter. Not a single policeman was in attendance. Thousands of terrorists equipped with AK-47 rifles had gathered. They were busy firing in air, putting up their flags on electric poles and anouncing that Kashmir is Azad now. Kashmiri people believed every word of what was said. Government was run by Chief Secretary Mr Moosa Raza (he was from Hyderabad). He was single contact point in Kashmir and was under tremandous pressure. Period of December-January, as I said was the worst. And about the significance of 19th January? On this day at 7.00 pm exact every single mosque in Kashmir came alive. It was pre-coordinated. Pandits were ordered to leave Kashmir through loudspeakers and whole scale migration started from this day. There are 2 important things which need to be researched 1) What was the first time when migration of KPs was discussed in Parliament. 2) When was the first time migration of KPs was reported in national media.

I fully agree that justice has to be done in a civilised manner ,duly forming a commission ,documenting the statement of victims/witnesses. But let this be strictly time bound and the recommendations are implemented without any delay. We have seen the commission on Sikh murders in Delhi and extremely disappointed about the low conviction rate and the time line.
